Biotic Factors are aspects of an environment that are considered to be living. These living components affect other living and nonliving things in their environments, and are able to grow and reproduce. Poison Dart frogs are indigenous to humid rainforests located in Central and South America. Females reproduce externally, laying eggs in treetop plants or ground plant litter, for males to come and fertilize them. Poison Dart Frogs are just one example of a biotic factor in a rainforest ecosystem.
