“Hey.”
biquinhoduck replied to your post: Just FYI I am aware that there’s a strong argument...
[[tbh, I’d argue that the Pridelands, under Mufasa’s rule and for past/future generations, already runs a constitutional monarchy. There’s a clear framework that both the pride itself (including Mufasa, his ancestors, & descendants) *and* the rest of the Pridelanders must follow, aka respecting the circle of life, and that “constitution” so to speak is something you’d never see in an absolute monarchy. Once Simba returned, he continued to follow and respect the circle just as those before him
I called it an absolute monarchy because the lions are the undisputed rulers, but I think you’re right. An absolute monarch’s powers aren’t restricted by any law, and the royal lions’ powers are, since they’re not free to just kill whoever they want.
@biquinhoduck liked for a short starter!
“Hey, Dugan? Can I hide out at your place for a while? Things have been a bit....” He waved his hand in a wishy-washy motion. “Weird at home. New mom and dad are nice, but... my new brother kinda freaks me out.”
@biquinhoduck said: “Don’t worry, Annie! In just a few hours, you’ll be sitting around a campfire with your kiddo, makin’ delicious hot schmoes.”
“You’re right, Dugan.” A gentle smile spread from cheek to cheek. Annie bent down to the wind-up doll’s level and pat his head.
“It’s just that...this is my Marcella’s first campout. She’s told me that she’s nervous about being around the bigger girls. She’s just a Daisy! I just hope I can be enough to make her feel better.”

🌵 “Well hey, howdy, hey, little fella.” Woody greets the small duck, crouching down to his level. As he gets a better look at him; he realises that he looks awfully familiar to three other toys he met the last time intruders began to attack.
“I hope that they didn’t send you all on your own to deal with the heartless, son.” He says with a touch of concern. This toy is just a child after all.
If he’s honest, a piece of him just wants to give the cute little guy a hug. Yet, he settles for offering him a handshake instead. “I’m Woody and you are?” 🌵

As thanks to the Muddlefoots for constantly taking care of his daughter while he was on set filming, Drake thought it only fair that he take care of Gosalyn and Honker on his day off while they were all in Duckburg for Herb’s job. Since his trailer wasn’t set up to have much more than one guest at a time, he had decided to take them to the park to spend some energy. The actor was content to continue watching the two until he noticed a boy on his own and away from the kids. Whether it was the fact the kid reminded him of himself when he was younger, his fatherly instinct, or his Darkwing intuition, Drake walked up to the kid.
“Hey, why aren’t you playing with the rest of the kids? I’m sure you’d have more fun with them than watching from over here.”
@biquinhoduck like this for a starter!
Another family get-together, another day of boredom.
Maude always tends to feel out of place at events like this- the adults are busy talking amongst one another and the other children would rather spend time with someone whose presence wouldn't endanger them. At least, as far as she knows.
Not even wanting to bother talking to anyone else, Maude takes off into the woods. A very dangerous place for a girl embodying misfortune, yet strangely comforting. It's just her, the dirt, the trees, and the wildlife scattered around the area.
...and apparently someone else, if Maude's senses were correct.

Due to the longer lifespans in the comics universe (if you don’t die young, you’re practically immortal), Fulton has seen a lot. He’s seen Marshall go off to fight in the Great War and come back with haunted eyes and memories that won’t leave him be. He watched Donald go off to sea a mere two decades later, and come back with that same look.
In both cases, he did what he could He offered comfort and safety, and in Donald’s case, gave advice to his family on how to help him.
Fulton is growing tired of war. What do people keep on fighting for?
