If you use Duolingo, maybe don't anymore? The company is moving to be "AI-first" and is using AI to generate their content. Meaning, AI is now generating your language lessons.
They announced that they were going to use AI for this a while back but now they're annoucing that they're getting rid of the contractors reviewing the AI generated content. So, very soon Duolingo is just going to be AI generated slop that might not even be correct.
For alternatives, I'd recommend checking with your local library. For instance, mine offers Rosetta Stone for free if you have a library card.
Thinking about those windows movie maker lyric videos from the late 00's/early 10's...truly that era's cornerstone of society
darkest timeline
This video is insaneeeee some of the inmates at the prison that Luigi Mangione is currently at earlier today shouted from inside the building at a news reporter who was just outside the fence line "Luigi's conditions suck. Free Luigi!" so the reporter arranged for all of the inmates to watch their news broadcast at 10pm so they could do a pseudo-interview about the conditions in the prison. This is wild.
But also they're apparently holding Luigi in solitary away from the other inmates. Idk if that's standard practice or if they're really tryna make an example out of him...
Crazy that people are popping off about the American pope but not commenting about the fact that he has spent a good chunk of his life in Peru, has Peruvian citizenship, and also took time in his first speech to address the crowd in Spanish and specifically thank everyone from Peru. He didn't speak English at all.
i legitimately forget sometimes that the rest of the world is not as hostile to AI as tumblr is
