Kokko is giant eagle from Finland's national epic the Kalevala. They helped Väinämöinen (hero) to fell a forest, because he left a birch tree for the birds to rest on. It is said that Kokko's feathers can strike a fire and that it's wings may reach from the stars to the waves of the oceans
