Azriel felt guilty, now soul bind to Gunnr but with secrets looming over her head. The guilt made her cracked heart rattle, risking another run in the fragile glass of her soul. "My love...I must confess..."

Gunnr tilted her head down a little while still holding Azry in an embrace. "...Yes?"

This sharp-shinned hawk (Accipiter striatus) has turned my bird feeder into her personal avian smorgasbord. Despite the occasional carnage (nature being what nature is), I have to admit a certain fondness for her skills - she’s focused, fast, instinctual, and very good at what she does. The sharp-shinned hawk is easy to confuse with the Cooper’s hawk (Accipiter cooperii), also known as the chicken hawk; the birds are distinguished by the appearance of the dark feathers on their heads (hood versus cap), placement of their eyes (center of the head versus closer to the beak); and the shape of their tails (square or notched versus rounded).

"Alright, I think that's enough for today..." Gunnr winced slightly holding her scraped up arm, panting out of breath. This spar session had been particularly rough, gotten a little carried away.

My version of an explanation of relationships between spirit guide, soul holders, and their lovers

In my universe, usually spirit guides never take a separate physical form from the holder and is practically same soul essence, one in the same. The guide is usually only there in dreams and hallucinations to help those with distressing choices, survival, or simply a wakeup call to change something in their life for the better. Guides are also rarely 'permanent' or rather the animal may change out occasionally for specific purposes and only show up a handful of times.

Kaitlyn and other special magic users can potentially give guides physical forms and individual personalities. Even so, guides are still EXTENSIONS of the holder; therefore, the holder's feelings and personality traits still influence the guides to varying degrees.

For an example, Kaitlyn's initial crushes on Azriel, Cesaire, and Jacqueline gave her own guides varying degrees of that attraction. Now what each did with their attractions was up to them. Now onto Cosette and Vargr being a bit more special, Vargr is THE closest guide to Kaitlyn. Naturally the main guide would fall for a lover's main guide. (Vargr would've also fell in love with Aya's dove, hawk, black cat, or phoenix guides) In a way, Cosette/Vargr is a reflection of Past/Kaitlyn. How Kaitlyn and Vargr see both Past and Cosette is one in the same.

To also further add to influence of feelings, when it comes to Kaitlyn's lovers such as Past, Sky and her alters (@thesplitinvestigator), Lex/Fenrir/Victoria/Catalyst (@the-apex-hub), ect... all her guides will love them too in the same intensity as Kaitlyn (same thing for platonic friends). Even her guides like Corvo who *acts* very 'monogamous' would still see all of Kaitlyn's loves as their own.

As for the inverse (which would rarely ever happen) ...if Kaitlyn's guides stumbled upon a person they find trustworthy enough, Kaitlyn may feel a sense calmness/trust around that person later on despite not meeting them before (but her soul essence did). Again, rare scenario as Kaitlyn doesn't usually let her guides run around nor do they usually interact with strangers much unless needed.

“You’re good at… punching stuff…” Azriel said to Gunnr, unsure as to how to compliment her work out.

Gunnr jabs the wooden dummy a few more times. "...Thanks..." She stops and stretches for a bit "Azriel, how often do you train yourself? I'd like to see some more of your exercise techniques"

Azriel was currently laying in one of the guestrooms of Xander's Quietem estate. She was so fragile that one touch could shatter her arms and legs. She was still leaking the gold blood substance from her nose and eyes. She no longer was responsive to anyone, yet no body came to comfort her either way. She silently envied knowing that the other spirit guides had someone by their side. She was dying completely alone

The guestroom door opens... a gold and black retriever walks in with a hawk. It was Jack and Gunnr. Jack looked at her with his big sad doggy eyes before crawling to the side of the bed and curling up.

Gunnr perched herself on a nightstand nearest to the bed.

Icy singing “Curses - The Crane Wives” to Jacqueline while shifting between forms (or using their clone magic perhaps since I base them off of kitsune illusionists).

2.) The Bird spirit guide (who can split into Crow, Raven, and Hawk) meeting Césaire

Bird: So you’re the snake slave? Hold on let me get comfortable and we can talk more personally *proceeds to split*

Crow / Corvo: No, no your posture is atrocious! You look TOO stiff. Ease your neck a little and breathe. He’s not here right now, breathe.”

Raven / Corvus: You need more emotion in your movement too. Let me show you how to emphasize your thoughts with sways and chest puffs. Like so~”

Hawk / Gunnr(valkyrie name meaning battle/war): Little snake....Do not take it personally when my holder makes me eat you when she kills yours. Maybe your next holder will be kinder. Please accept this gentle kiss as a sign that there is no hatred on my end.”

3.) Wolf(Vargr) and Coyote(McCoy) meeting Cosette AND Dog (Jack) meeting Azriel

Vargr: “Don't touch bunny! Bunny mine! My prey! My mate! No hurt her!”

McCoy: “Relax, cousin. I'm just admiring the pretty little lady~ She looks good enough to eat, don't ya think? I jest... Still why not let me chat with the cute thing?~ A little nibble or kiss?~”

Jack: “Ooh! Owl lady! You need anything? I can get it! Am I doing good? Am I a good boy? Can I has pets and cuddles? You need me to fetch something? Food? Bones? Something? I will help!”
