Quietem, the western town built a bit far from any major city, nothing much but a few buildings including: Ezra's Saloon, the Church, an inn, the post, and the mercantile. The sheriff house stood vacant: no sheriff, no laws. Petty theft was high, and a gang of misfits terrorized the town folk
The town is pretty much led by the priest, Father Alexandre. He had been there since the town was built. No one dares question the word of God, so why have a major to combat Father Alexandre?
Overall, the town needed help. Nothing seemed right there. Definitely skeletons in everyone's closet. It was midday, and the saloon was quiet, except for a few farmers taking a break. The saloon girl was serving whiskey to the patrons while Ezra washed the glasses behind the counter.

Wandering the dusty road on a spotted Appaloosa horse, a lone cowboy, or I guess cowgirl would be more accurate, was casually making their approach.
As far as morals go... this cowboy was pretty on par with most lone wanderers. In her youth, she was rather a little mischief maker when she used to work on her family's ranch. Always snatching something for herself, switching bottles around, terrorizing the livestock with very convincing canine barks, and other parlor tricks.
She finally made it to the town she's been hearing about. She gazes upon its sorry state and was filled with burning determination to become sheriff. "Wow... I can't do anymore damage even if I wanted to... eh, time to get a drink."
In short, she was bored and wanted to give being a lawman a shot. After all, what's the point of being a criminal if there were already so many that she wouldn't even stick out? Especially since her crimes were more juvenile in comparison to most. If everyone is an outlaw, then no one is an outlaw as far as she cared. Plus... she did make her family a promise before she left her old town.
