Your art is so tasty looking, I just want to compile a bunch of your Doctor Strange drawings and make a soup
Oh my goodness, thank you sm. These comments are the best ngl, I love hearing any variation of “scrunkly” or “i need to chew on them” so this is a very glad addition!!
I really don’t think this dish is ethical, but I serve it none the less!
hey I know this is random out of the blue and unusual but do you ever read the dr strange comics? I'm trying to build a sanctum in the sims but I don't really have a grasp of what the layout looks like and I was hoping for incite from someone who's more versed.
I have read, and am still an avid reader of Doctor Strange comics!
I have some good news and bad news regarding your question. Bad news is that there is no real concrete layout of the sanctum. Not just because of comic inconsistencies from issue to issue but also because the building is an entity in itself and often moves to its own accord or to where Stephen needs to be. However! That means the sanctum can really be whatever you want it to be.
There are certain things which are consistent in the sanctum which vary in their position in the building, but those (from memory) go as followed:
Entrance way with the staircase. The sanctum has an iconic entryway which leads to a waiting room for clients and has that huge staircase in the middle. This is pretty consistent through comics and also the MCU.
Huge fuckass window. This window makes me laugh everytime I see it because it’s so silly. The sanctum always has that one big round window with the specific rune on it. (Looks like a basket ball tbh). The room behind it in the MCU is where artefacts are kept.
Basement/Undercroft. Most issues and the MCU have an underneath section for the sanctum. In the MCU it’s a basement/storage/washroom but in the Comics it was used to contain Mr Misery and other dubious creatures.
Library. The sanctum has a big library, unsurprisingly containing lots of books. I don’t think this is seen in the MCU apart from when Stephen does that cool teleporting thing in Ragnorok.
The comics also utilize long corridors of doors to other dimensions which is probably mirrored in the Rotunda gateways in the MCU. There’s also consistent usage of infinite stair cases as well.
Some weird things that have been within the sanctum from my reads which aren’t brought up ever again are a bath house, forest and room made of singing flesh.
References for the general inside layout of the sanctum are pretty hard to find, but if you’re desperate I’ve used the Lego sanctum layout once or twice. I have refs for various rooms within the sanctum from the comics, but tumblr won’t let me upload them for some reason. If you need anything specific don’t be afraid to dm! Always happy to help.
Have you drawn strange Supreme from what if? He's like dumped wet with the Supreme sadness and centuries of not bathing because he has to catch monsters like Pokémon except he's the pokeball
Thank you for reminding me to! I don’t draw him enough/at all, so here’s some quick sketchies. Drawing him more is one of my goals for this year now!
I drew him so much when the episode came out, but they’re all old crusty traditional drawings so I can’t send them.
This is the only recentish drawing I’ve done of him. I hope that’s enough for you fellas until I get around to actually drawing him properly! It’s actually criminal that I haven’t, he’s so baby girl and I love him. I just KNOW he smells so bad. I want to throw him at a solid wall at high speeds and hear him squelch against it.
I only have ever drawn strange for these past 2 or so years and because of you, you inspire me to draw him like those toy squishies who got thrown at the wall because squishing it as a stress ball isn't enough.
Instead of a 'splat' it's a 'sblat' because of throwing it in sheer force. Thank you for introducing me to this, I will now join to drawing him like a pathetic little guy. I'm drawing him now
Pleasure to be of service. Stress ball Strange is my favourite breed and I kick my feet and giggle when people explain their violent reactions to seeing them.
your art is making me go insane in a good way like... YOUR STEPHEN IS SO SCRUNCHABLE AND HE PROBABLY HAS NOT SHOWERED IN 3 WEEKS AND I WANNA BANG HIS HEAD TO THE WALL I LOVE HIM. pls. please continue to draw i love your art sm you're the backbone of stephen artists
Nails digging into the floorboards, bashing my fists until my bones splinter-
Thank you so much my guy, this literally made my day-
I notice that although there’s a consensus that Doctor Strange is a badass in the general Marvel fandom I find it hilarious that in the specifically Doctor Strange Fandom his only character trait is being sopping wet and soaked in milk and thrown at a wall. Very entertaining. Honestly I don’t know how people can look at that thing and think it could have a single coherent thought, I just know he looks like this in the sanctum.
