Bird-mama deserves only happiness. Pity canon ships her with misery and then sections of fandom have the audacity to bash her as a bad mother in favor of the scum that murder the majority of her people (half of which are survivors of their previous violence) and think they are better ‘fathers’ to her children they kidnapped. Then her husband becomes a star after they both give up near everything to save everyone in Middle-earth.

Actually crying with bemused laughter (as in there is a saline solution in the corner of my eyes) at the fact that bless you both here I am this thing on Elwing/Eärendil and their sons and attitudes involved there-in that is rubbing off on more than one person.

I'm both proud of myself and ...idk...embarrassed.

But mostly happy.

Okay- tell me if I'm reading this quote right, because it becomes important for my Borte headcanon:

Some of the Fëanorian troops in the middle of sacking Sirion not only decided to disobey orders and not attack, but some switched sides and joined Elwing's defenders, only to be slain by the loyal Fëanorians? Or by the exiled Gondolin/Sindar? Or was it other way around? Because my Easterlings face a crisis of faith if the 'who's murdering who' is who I think it is...?
