Experts believe that over 100 million birds die each year in collisions with buildings and skyscrapers in the United States and Canada alone. Birds cannot see glass and don't understand the architectural cues, such as window frames, mullions, and handles, that help people detect it. When a bird collides with a window it is enough to kill them, severely injure, or leave stunned on the ground - vulnerable to predators. Because window collisions are equally dangerous all birds, they can have a serious impact on bird populations.

There are a few easy ways you can help prevent birds colliding with window. Try playing a sun ornament or crystal in your windows.
