Bird species: Striated Caracara
Why that bird??: Known as the sassiest bird of prey the striated caracara has A LOT of personality. They often will steal stuff from people because they are “fearless”birds. One of the most intelligent birds out there. They can be VERY aggressive when needed [usually protecting their flock] they are very social birds the require closeness with others and will become very depressed if not properly socialized. So basically dean as a bird
Grace storage scar: when an angel possesses a human vessel the grace infects the oil in the uropygial gland. When the angel is removed from the vessel the grace burns through the gland. This causes oil production to be stunted for months afterwards. It also leaves a huge scar.
Feathered ears: humans only have one set of wings. So they don’t have the wing ears BUT they do have feathers over their ears. They are a window into someone’s emotions. Tucking back when upset, flicking up when intrigued, pointed downwards when sad, etc.
CLAWS!!!: angels claws are filed down during their creation. Sharp nails aren’t deemed as holy. But humans and demons keep the talons. Although demons have longer nails.
No crescent face thing : [ : only angels get the face crest unfortunately. It’s made to symbolize heavens holy gates which are typically illustrated as having an arch.

Since all of this birdnatural posting is happening on my dash rn I feel the need to let everyone know that, while shrimp might not actually see more colors than us, birds do!!
They have 4 color cones instead of 3, so they're capable of perceiving rbg + uv rays! Which means we've been feeling birds emotions all along!!
