HE’S TOTALLY MY FAVE. i got super high last week and made a 3-way venn diagram of things ronan has in common with my other forever faves, edward elric and dave strider, and the commonalities are staggering. i guess im down for magical teens who love to fight and have dead parent(s) and daddy issues. not to mention the crow/raven symbology with ronan+dave. bird boys!!!!

what is on your TRC Super Specific Fic Wishlist if you do not mind my asking

okay so I definitely had several very specific wishes at the time i made this post, but only one remains now, days later, and that one has existed since i first read TRC. so let me tell you. of all the MANIFOLD boners that this series gives me, the number one boner is this:

GANSEY’S MAGICIANS. That is the boner of all boners: Ronan and Adam being totally loyal to Gansey unto death and Gansey being tormented by the responsibility laid on his boyish shoulders. The boner has many important sub-boners, such as: Ronan being completely content to be Gansey’s dog 

and also Ronan being ESPECIALLY into warlike Young King Gansey, viz.:

COLD AND GLORIOUS!!!! You might think this would imply that the number one boner is Ronan/Gansey, but WEIRDLY it is important to this boner that Ronan 100% would die for Gansey and is desperately, silently, eternally in love with Adam at the same time. 

SO MY POINT IS, THE WISHLIST IS BASICALLY THIS: ADAM AND RONAN FALLING IN LOVE WITH EACH OTHER IN ADDITION/CONTRAST TO THEIR FEROCIOUS MUTUAL LOVE FOR MEDIEVAL BOY-KING GANSEY PENDRAGON. (IDEALLY, Gansey is trying to negotiate a tricky political marriage with BLUE SARGENT who refuses to consummate the match because handwave handwave prophecies, Avalon priestess, who knows, BUT desperately wants to and is in love with him.) My point is, Gansey is weary with the weight of his crown, Ronan is a highborn courtier magician/bodyguard who has been raised with Gansey from birth, Adam is a hedgewitch who rescues Prince Gansey when his horse throws a shoe in the woods, they would both die for heartbreakingly Good prince gansey and for blue and for each other, it’s essentially “The Once and Future King” but everyone’s the same age and there’s a ton of boneage. You know, normal stuff.
