It's definitely overwhelming, to the point I have to think it's intentional. The game does slowly introduce mechanics though, so that helps (though I'm also someone who enjoys the game's general UI design).

​I thought the same at some point, no way you could make this and genuinely think it's immediately readable. That'd be actually somewhat thematically clever if true
