🙏 Thank you to all the firefighters who put their lives on the line to save both people and critters.

"Saving one bird will not change the world, but it would change the world for that one bird" was my response to being told, "You can't save them all."

It's true. As individuals, we can't save every bird, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't do our best for the one right in front of us, just like this firefighter did.

Every bird deserves compassion, from parrots to chickens to pigeons. ❤️

If you see a bird in need, please take the initiative to help them, be it by your own hands, or guiding them to another's. <3

Woodpidgeon rescue at the field. Poor thing had been attacked by something and lost its whole tail. Feathers everywhere! A Scrub Jay flew into the wood shop and got trapped flying into the large windows near the ceiling - I got home from class and my roommate told me I had a bird to rescue. It was a sweet little thing and didn’t fight or bite. It was just glad to be free.
