This year's birthday commission is from nxnjakat on vgen! I absolutely fell for the Polaroid samples on their profile and it knew that had to be the art style for this year. Look how cute it turned out!! Ferdinand is our special guest this time~ I missed having friends in frame! He's the star of a longfic I have coming out soon so I figured he'd more than earned a day with us (°◡°♡)

Short explanation: My wife Dorothea's birthday is 9/29 and my birthday is 10/1-- so I commission and post birthday art for both of us on 9/30 between our two days! Here's to many more wonderful birthdays together<3

I absolutely adore how peaceful this is :') The sunset, the fall leaves, their expressions, the colors--Dani truly did an amazing job on this art! She draws female characters with such heart and clear enjoyment that I knew they'd do Dorothea justice <3 For the part few years, I've had Dorothea and I enjoy the company of another of my favorite characters, but this year I decided to dial it back and just focus on a little picnic during my favorite season every :3

Ta da! This year's birthday commission is a cozy day in with Pokemon plushies and video games. A perfect afternoon with my wife Dorothea and best girl Leonie <3 Thank you to @bodty for this AMAZING piece!!! You captured everything so well!!!

Raichu is one of my favorite Pokemon, and after much thought I decided Pawmo would fit Leonie very well. Which meant we both unintentionally ended up with electric mouse Pokemon XD I didn't tell bodty what game Dorothea should be playing but I LOVE the implied pick on their part. Everything about this sparks joy and I'm so happy to share it with you all!

Birthday commission for 2022! This year I commissioned @fulgurbugs !

Short explanation: Dorothea is one of my favorite FE characters and her birthday is September 29th. My birthday is October 1st. Every year I commission an artist to make art of the two of us and post it on September 30th-- the day between our birthdays! (Here’s a link to past commissions)

Here we have Lucina talking to me (Indie) and Dorothea as we drink hot apple cider and take a walk through the woods. Autumn is my favorite time of year, so I made a list of fall activities and sketched up a couple ideas for the three of us to be doing in the scene. Fulgurbugs took my final sketch and made this! I couldn’t be happier with the end result. Look at the colors!! It’s lovely!!

Say hello to 2021′s Indigo Birthday Commission! 

@thepastelpeach did an AMAZING job on this! We went back and forth over so many details, and she was unbelievably patient with anything I needed her to change or tweak. I cannot recommend her enough-- I’ve been a fan of her work for a long while but this is my first time commissioning her! Thank you so much, Peach!

This year we have Indigo (yours truly) having birthday tea with the lovely Dorothea. But who is this come to surprise Indigo with a birthday gift? Looks like we’ll need a third chair for Sylvain! <3

A birthday gift from me to me!!! 

My favorite character in Fire Emblem Three Houses, Dorothea, has her birthday on the 29th of September. My birthday is the 1st of October. And so, I commission this piece of the two of us to be done on the 30th to celebrate! 

This game means a lot to me and nothing makes my heart softer than Dorothea. Whatever your opinion on self inserts/ self shipping, I think we can all agree we deserve to indulge this year of all years.

Shout out to Luke @teslu​ who not only surfed through the flood of details I gave him for this- he also designed ‘me’ from scratch! (It’s a variation on the Lord class outfit if you’re curious.) This came out absolutely stunning and I cannot recommend his work enough.
