Well, damn.

I guess I can't let her have root beer at dinner and two cupcakes for desert on her birthday and then expect her to go to bed at the usual time. Somehow she got hold of a spool of nylon string. It was fun when she tied me to the chair but then I had to tell her it was already past bedtime. I had to untie myself from the chair as she tried to stop me and then untie her from the chair as she tried to tie herself onto it. I had to basically drag her out of it as she threatened and tried to kick me in the penis. She literally said she would kick me in the penis. I want you to know I never lost my temper or yelled at her. When I finally got the rope out of her hands, I had to restrain her from hitting me and started carrying her to the bathroom. I told her that she needed to brush her teeth and go to bed or she was going to lose her birthday toys until Christmas. She said no. I reiterated. She said no. I asked her if she was really willing to give up all her toys just so wouldn't have to brush her teeth and go to bed and clarified, "if you say no again I'm putting your new toys up until Christmas. Now please brush your teeth." She just stood there defiantly and told me, "you just said I can't say no." I told her "No, you have to brush your teeth." She said no. So anyway, her toys are in the closet and she got carried to bed without brushing her teeth. And she tells mommy, daddy's bad. I just left her there with Manna and Orion, bawling. I don't know. Reading this back I feel like I sound awful and I should have handled this way differently. Probably because it's true. I went way to quickly from birthday playtime to forced bedtime. I realize now that was a bit of an unreasonable expectation but... Ugh!

Tomorrow is my birthday. Today I have a head cold. Yesterday I had a fever of 102. What a great way to spend my birthday weekend.

My birthday

So today was my birthday and it was so so. On my family part, it was pure shitty. I got called a spoiled brat because I said I wanted a store bought cake only because my mother had asked me if I did. Then my dad didn't even tell me Happy Birthday but he made a comment about how I'm 23 and still living at home. Yeah okay, kick me out when I have no money or job. He then proceeded to ask why the laundry wasn't caught up yet. Laundry is not my priority today! I didn't get a single thing because my parents decided to go to the casino a few days ago and spend the majority of the money. The only thing I got today was $20 from my great-grandma. It just hurts that I do so much for my family. I clean the house, I take care of the kids then I end up getting treated like this. I don't care that I didn't get anything it's just how I was treated. I had a meltdown in Walmart when I went to go pick up my own damn cake. I'm just an emotional person and my feelings get hurt easily.

The only thing that made my birthday a good one was that all of my friends said Happy Birthday on here, Facebook or Twitter. It meant the world to me that I was atleast acknowledged by someone out there. I love you guys so much. Another good thing was that my brother called me from Afghanistan to say Happy Birthday, I've been so worried about him and I finally got to talk to him.

Just wanted to say thanks everyone, you guys made my birthday worth something today. It means the world to me and I'll forever be grateful of it. I love you guys so much and I'm so happy to call you guys my friends
