She scoffs at all of these trainers, really - they don’t look like they’re serious enough to go through this undertaking. They’d have to fly to a whole other region, a region they don’t know a single thing about – though Bayonetta won’t admit she knows little about Kanto either – and if they’re serious about catching this so-called legendary Pokemon, they’d have to bring their strongest and their best. None of these trainers look like they have any of these things. There are children here, and they think they can scale these Seafoam Islands for a giant?
In her journey to become the strongest gym leader, Bayonetta only wants the best – the look in her eyes as she watches people crowd into terminals says it all, really – and if these rumors about this legendary Pokemon are true, Bayonetta just simply must have it. There’s nothing else to it, really.
She’s nearly tuned out to the music on her Pokegear when she notices someone sit on the seat next to her with a vibe no other trainer in this airport seems to give off. Bayonetta, curious, takes a glance; she looks like she’s nearly half Bayonetta’s size - she’d probably be high school age, but one can never tell. Bayonetta smiles as she leans back into her seat.
It looks like she might have some competition.
The competition in the airport seemed week, which either meant that all of the serious trainers had already gone to Kanto, or that nobody serious even wanted to see the legendary pokemon that was rumored to be circling the Seafoam Islands. In the airport, only a few trainers even looked like they were slightly prepared for what was about to happen. Only one of them looked prepared and serious. She was a slightly older woman that looked like everything Rose ever wanted to be, but that was a weird thought that Rose was just going to put away until later.
Rose sat in the seat next to the woman so they could talk in the immediate future. Even if the woman wouldn't want to partner up with her, they could at the very least talk shit until they managed to be free of airport hell. Rose couldn't believe that so many trainers were planning on trying to actually catch the legendary pokemon. Rose herself didn't consider it a possibility, out of some strange respect for the legendary. Rose did, however, want to see how her pokemon squared up to see how her current team stood against an actual living legend.
Rose finally actually turned her attention to the woman to the side of her. "I take it that you're here to look for the legendary pokemon just like everyone else in this airport? And that you're actually prepared for this?"
