Ingredients: 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour. 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder. 1 teaspoon baking powder. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 1/2 cup granulated sugar. 1/2 cup packed brown sugar. 2 large eggs. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips. 1/2 cup dried cherries.
Instructions: Warm your oven up to 350F 175C and put parchment paper on a baking sheet. Mix the cocoa powder, baking powder, salt, and flour together in a bowl using a whisk. Granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract should all be mixed together well in a different bowl. Mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients one at a time until a dough forms. The dark chocolate chips and dried cherries should be mixed in. Split the dough in half. With a little flour on the work surface, roll out each half into a log that is about 10 inches long. Spread the logs out a little on the baking sheet that has been prepared. The logs should be baked in a hot oven for twenty to twenty-five minutes, or until they feel firm. Take the logs out of the oven and let them cool for 15 minutes. Bring the oven's temperature down to 325F 165C. Carefully cut the logs into 1/2-inch-wide diagonal slices with a sharp knife. Put the slices back on the baking sheet and bake for another 15 to 20 minutes, shaking the pan every so often to make sure they bake evenly. Take them out of the oven when they are dry and crisp, and let them cool all the way down. Put in a container that won't let air in.
