For a cozy dinner, these beef stuffed shells are a hearty and satisfying dish. Filling jumbo pasta shells with seasoned ground beef and three cheeses makes for a very tasty and filling dish.
Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. 1 box jumbo pasta shells. 1 onion, finely chopped. 3 cloves garlic, minced. 1 cup ricotta cheese. 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese. 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese. 1 egg. 1 teaspoon dried oregano. 1 teaspoon dried basil. Salt and pepper to taste. 2 cups marinara sauce. Fresh basil leaves for garnish.
Instructions: Warm the oven up to 175F 350C. As directed on the package, cook the pasta shells. Once done, drain them and set them aside. Fry the onion, garlic, and ground beef in a pan until the beef is browned and the onion is soft. Get rid of extra fat. Roughly chop the cooked beef and put it in a bowl. Add the ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Mix the beef and cheese together and put some in each cooked pasta shell. Put a little marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish. Put the stuffed shells in the baking dish and then pour the rest of the marinara sauce over top of them. Put foil over it and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until it's hot all the way through. Before serving, sprinkle with fresh basil leaves.
