Something I like about Sekhan is the fact that Sektor could betray him at any time, since Bi Han has his absolute trust in her hands, and Sektor has the intellect and ability to manipulate others like when she manipulated Cyrax. If she wanted, she could have betrayed Bi Han. She could have let him die and taken the role as a Lin Kuei master, she could have taken advantage of Liu Kang when he left the clan at her disposal and turned her back on Bi Han, what's more, with the amulet she wouldn't even need it to get rid of the Shirai Ryu, being a one-person leader....

But no, Sektor preferred to rescue him, she could have turned her back on him like everyone else, but no. I like it because it proves that the character is not someone who has no love and loyalty towards others, because they could have resorted to making her the "treacherous bitch who doesn't care about anyone", and I'm glad they didn't do that again with him/her.

I think that decision is better, because it breaks with the expectations of what one would expect from Sektor, showing that she is loyal, that she can also defend and care for others while breaking with her egocentrism, that makes her different from the OG Sektor.

....Besides, it also breaks with the leaks of the game, in which it was seen that Sektor would betray him and it would be Sareena who would save him. To me it seems more interesting that it is Sektor who does it, because she is the only one who really loves him and accompanies him in everything and despite everything, neither the heroes nor the villains did that for Bi Han, therefore, who else will he give his loyalty to other than Sektor?
