How did you become best friends with Emma as opposed to any of your other mutuals?

Emma’s was one of the first football tumblrs I found. I started my blog because I was hella stressed about Liverpool’s title challenge run in with City and I needed somewhere to channel the energy that no-one in my real life cared about. If you go back through my blogs archive to the literal day I started my blog this post was the 8th thing I reblogged and it’s from Emma’s tumblr. I was a lurker for the first month or so on here and then I think there was a post that went round about men’s football rpf. I’d just started writing fic and it made feel a bit weird so I messaged Emma (I think this how we started talking) and basically we haven’t stopped talking since!

We realised quickly that we have SCARY amount in common. Both 27, both Liverpool fans, both live in the same area. She’s the reason I am now in love with Eric Dier so whenever she tells me to stay in my lane I remind her of that fact. In all honesty I don’t know exactly why we’ve clicked the way we have. It’s just one of those things that happens isn’t it? On places like this you always end up being drawn to certain people and I guess that’s what’s happened with us two.

I don’t think I’d find many other people who would willingly hold about 6 different conversations all on different social media platforms basically 24/7. I legit don’t think there has been a day that we haven’t spoken to each other since we started talking and it’s quite weirdly wonderful how she’s a very big part of my life now and I’ve never even met her. My boyfriend will regularly be like ‘are you messaging Emma again?’ to which I respond ‘I never stopped!!’ We send each other stuff at the same time, we read each other’s minds and when it comes to Eric we ALWAYS have the same thoughts. She keeps me going with my writing (she’d kill me if I stopped) and we do also actually talk about real life stuff as well.

She puts up with my Getty image spams, with my spirals about Eric and if he will ever play again, we analyse Deledier stuff, rewatch certain videos too many times and laugh at how much a boy who doesn’t even know we exist affects our lives. She’s the first person I think of whenever anything Eric related happens and it’s also so nice to have someone to talk to when Liverpool start clowning around.

Why we are so close? I don’t know the definite answer. I just know that this place would be a very different experience for me without her and I know she has a lot of other close friends on here other than me that she’s known for a lot longer but I do genuinely believe I have found a proper, proper friend in her (she might think differently 🙈) She’s just a wonderful person and I CANNOT WAIT to go and watch our England boys together in November 🥰
