Always a pleasure having a korero/talanoa with the toko @ranzrewiri for his @__plantingseeds Podcast. DeFi-ing historically externally imposed mindsets around finance and career - working a 9-5 till you’re 75, a gold watch from the company/job, a two week holiday then you die. That fiat central banking profiteering extractive model of extracting all the value, time and energy (remember money is a vessel of your time and energy) out of natural resources and human beings (anathema to our natural Maori Pasifika culture) is replaced with your bitcoin/crypto/blockchain model of creating value, generating and regenerating value out of time and energy controlled by a decentralised collective of community, social, economic, cultural - rather than centralised elites. This mindset requires a transition which can often be hard - so the question is - Is your WHY important enough to incite in you a desire to learn about this new HOW and the tools it provides for financial freedom and eventually prosperity. If NOT you need a new WHY. Because for Maori and Pasifika that WHY is FAMILY, FAITH, CULTURE. To serve those three things we Maori Pasifika will do ANYTHING. That is WHY a transition to this ‘new’ system for us is a return to our original system, of communal, decentralised sharing and creation of value and regeneration of value. Contrary to popular belief we are the culture MOST suited to traverse and conquer this new paradigm. It was a great Panel at Block #4 of the Blockchain Governance Initiative Panel on El Salvador. I was glad to share the stage with colleague @LRodriguez_SV the Director General of the El Salvadoran Central American Bank for Economic Integration and to hear of his experiences rolling out Bitcoin and the Chivo Wallet for President Nayib Bukele. What an awesome gesture. I'm so humbled by this montage put together by one of our Tongan bitcoin mining family @petiolasolo.
