The Durham Regional Police Services K-9 unit entered a Wesleyville site to conduct their monthly training Oct. 28. They did a walk through with their dogs to allow them to get a feel for their environment, including different floor textures, stairs and smaller spaces. The training included bite grip practice with an officer in a bite suit, and a simulation where the officers had to apprehend a suspect.
