#56. Favorite tradition?

I have an ornament which I love putting on my yule tree. It was a favorite as a child too even though my mom thought it was weird, but it's a German ornament from my grandma. It's a witch riding a broom with a pickle in her pocket. It might actually be a kitchen witch ornament, which is also a German tradition, or it might be part of another weird German tradition of hiding a pickle on the Christmas tree... Not sure.as she passed before I found out about either of those traditions to ask, but I love it and put it out every year.

Have you ever tried cutting the bun along top instead of the side?

I actually prefer top-split buns, though they’re not that easy to come by in Chicago. With these, they’re a bit difficult to split to begin with and the bottoms are rather crunchy, so I’m not sure it would work well, but I’ll give it a try on the next one!

can I ask, where did you get that mobile? I love it.

You know what’s bananas, I thought I wouldn’t be able to say -- it’s about 25 years old and I was sure they wouldn’t make them anymore. My mum made it from a kit when I was a kid, and I somehow inherited it when I got my own place in college. 

But I googled “bird mobile kit cardinal” and managed to find it! You can buy it here, but before you do you should totally check out the Skyflight Mobiles webpage because they have a bunch of mobiles in the same style but with different interesting creatures.

45. which genre: sci-fi, fantasy or superhero?

I really love all of them in different ways, but I think I have to go with Fantasy as my top. I would love to live in a world with real fantasy magic.

46. most comfortable outfit to sleep in?

Not gonna lie, I sleep naked because I hate anything getting twisted around me when I sleep. like that are a couple of times when I will sleep in shorts and a t-shirt or bralet, but its rare and i usually have to be very tired or people i am not comfortable with seeing me naked around. If I do fall asleep in something and wake up in the middle of the night and it is twisting or pulling at anything I will like take it off half asleep it bothers me so much.
