On Thursday, August 16 2018, one of my favorite Tumblr users passed away suddenly. I started following him years ago because of his posts, then found out that he lived in the one city which I’ve spent more than half my life, which just, I don’t know, felt like more of a bond really. As a tenuous connection on this vast online world we live in, it was still something more.

He was funny, gentle, and had a really good outlook on life that I admired. We never interacted, even by way of a message or an ask, and for that I am saddened; that opportunity is now gone. His love for nerdy, geeky things, and coffee, and fuzzy animals, and zombies... all stuff you can find by seeing his Tumblr page, but it was something else that made me feel connected to him. All dat geeky shit.

I want to personally invite any who follow me to reach out and say hi. I’m gonna make more of an effort to connect with the people I follow as well, and while I realise some people may have too huge of a following to be able to spread the invitation for connection, still... do more. Connect more. Because you don’t know when that person’s light will be called to shine in a different dimension than ours.

Spread your light here, where we can still see it.
