Time Turner - Prompt 19

What has your character been doing prior to the time skip? Who and/or what have they been involved with?

Prior to the time skip, Enya was one of the missing 7. After her rescue she spent some time in St. Mungo’s being treated for what wounds she had as a result of the incident. She does what she can to assist the ministry in revealing the identities of those responsible while spending some much needed time with her family. Since the time skip, she has taken her time seeing patients again, making sure to take care of her mental health involving the situation. Once she feels comfortable enough, she throws herself back into her work. And though she didn’t vote for him and doesn’t agree with any of his anti-no maj/anti-muggle policies, she wholeheartedly is working to assist Percy and the ministry with getting to the bottom of the various attacks that have been plaguing the wizarding world over the last year.

What plots are you looking to involve your character in following the time skip?

After her rescue, Enya is looking to bond with those that were also taken, maybe help them manage and cope with their own trauma. To that end, she is also attempting to expand her aurology practice and increase her knowledge of psychology to better help her patients.

What kind of connections are you hoping to build or improve on following the time skip?

Since her kidnapping, Enya has developed an even deeper understanding and sympathy for Dominique Weasley, hoping to use her own experience to help Dom come to terms with her own trauma. She also wants to check in on Charlotte after their time in the underground cave.

Time Turner - Prompt

What has your character been doing prior to the time skip? Who and/or what have they been involved with?

Prior to the time skip, Aloma spent a decent amount of time in St. Mungo’s after her fall from the broom on the castle grounds. She had several visitors while there, namely her parents and Julian, who brought her several books about animagi and the process of how to become one. She’s eased back into her work at Hogwarts and since the end of term has been focused on finishing the process of becoming an animagus.

What plots are you looking to involve your character in following the time skip?

Besides becoming an animagus, Aloma is hoping to expand her curriculum to include guest speakers of various types, including former coworkers in the Magizooligy field and magical creatures themselves (if they are capable of human speech) to discuss different aspects of the field and conditions for creatures in modern times.

What kind of connections are you hoping to build or improve on following the time skip?

Aloma is hoping to continue strengthening her relationship with Julian, having grown to lean on him quite a bit more since her accident. She also can’t help thinking back to the Valentine’s day party and her meeting with Marius Lestrange and hopes to maybe see what, if anything, comes of it.

Prompt 19- Time Turner

What has your character been doing prior to the time skip? Who and/or what have they been involved with?

It’s no secret that Roxanne has become increasingly disappointed and frustrated with the way that the Ministry is handling things. While she used to believe that being in the DMLE would at least allow her to be in the middle of things and do what she can from the inside, it’s become clear with Percy’s treatment of her department (and the Minstry in general) that any power she had to help is shrinking by the day. The new regulations and legislature have left her unhappy with what her government stands for, and since their department has either been left out of these decisions or forced to follow through with the paperwork on these outrageous rulings, she’s decided to do a bit of poking around on her own.

Prior to the skip, she had been working loosely with Phoebe Maddock, attempting to secure herself intel from the wizarding underground without getting her hands too dirty. However she’s all but thrown caution to the wind at this point and has delved deep into this business relationship (she’s not quite ready to admit it might be a friendship yet), the only thing keeping her somewhat civil at work being that her position within the Ministry is a useful source of information she can’t afford to lose just yet. There’s been a lot of sticking her nose where it doesn’t belong and her opinions haven’t become any quieter, but there’s no doubt that Percy’s favorites have their eye on her a bit more closely than they had before they had placed the chokehold on the DMLE. 

What plots are you looking to involve your character in following the time skip?  What kind of connections are you hoping to build or improve on following the time skip?

Down with the system! Roxanne of course wants to get rid of the Guardians and anyone they’re associated with, but she also knows that these kind of issues will only continue whether they’re gone or not if the Ministry is allowed to continue in such a way. How many times will they let history repeat itself before they get their shit together? I would love to see her delve deeper into the anti-Ministry sentiments and take anyone she can along with her. With this, I see her improving more on her relationships with her family who feel similarly--or she feels she can convince of her agenda. I could also see her coming to trust her colleagues who feel similarly even more, maybe even finally learning how to build healthy friendships from this as she becomes more confident in herself and her ability to give to others in that capacity. 

This is her first time she finally feels like she has a fire lit under her ass to do something, and I see a lot of growth and responsibility coming her way as she begins to form a more leadership role rather than just being the wrecking-ball mom friend. There’s been a lot of introspection, and now it’s time for her to learn to be secure in her abilities and knowing what she wants and needs for herself moving forward

I also hope to introduce more about her birth parents moving forward, as the mystery surrounding her parents fits into the blood purity politics--and can only become even messier if she and the rest of the world not sworn to secrecy about it were to discover that her parents are presently imprisoned death eaters. The improvement in her personal relationships and becoming more secure in herself and her abilities will be crucial as she navigates through this inevitable existential crisis.

Prompt 19- Time Turner

What has your character been doing prior to the time skip? Who and/or what have they been involved with?

After having said her goodbyes to B and Kyu prior to her abduction, Vegas hadn’t really been expecting anyone to be looking for her. Sure, she had regained a best friend in Ethan, but their tumultuous history combined with her butchered sense of self-worth from being in The Fens left her unconvinced that he would even care she was missing. Lo and behold, Ethan came through and was there for her when she came to in the hospital and has kept a watchful eye on her ever since.

Vegas has since all but moved in with Ethan due to his protectiveness and her newfound fear of the dark and setting out alone--not to mention that the increasing safety measures have made moving back home to muggle London rather complicated. There was a slight kerfuffle involving these laws and safety measures when she desperately zoomed home without following protocol to ensure her cats were alive and well, but luckily for her the Ministry took pity on her and allowed Ethan to bail her out of holding. Unluckily for her, this was most likely because they assume her to be mentally unsound after her abduction.

St. Mungo’s shared these sentiments and have been very reluctant to let Vegas return to full-time work, especially in the trauma unit given how recently she herself had been a patient. Slowly they have allowed her to work more and more hours in the most recent months (though realistically it’s more akin to part-time work), but she’s been sequestered away to less exciting departments in the meantime. 

What plots are you looking to involve your character in following the time skip?  What kind of connections are you hoping to build or improve on following the time skip?

Needless to say, Vegas has been going a little stir crazy. As much as she would love to just work the time away to stay preoccupied, she could also use some friends. The whole abduction ordeal has darkened her humor a bit and put the tiniest of stains on her typically optimistic outlook on things, so she’s been struggling with feeling like she matters to anyone other than Ethan and feeling rather dark about herself in general. I think new connections and responsibilities would really boost her confidence! She would absolutely be interested in helping any kind of anti-ministry coalition as a healer and is becoming increasingly frustrated by their stance against muggle integration.
