ive seen a ton of posts/comments about not being to solve a specific case. and i feel u. i really do. but!! there are some ways that can most definitely help when tackling a difficult case. so imma share some bits of wisdom.
(this post is based on my experience and also this website. <- this is in Japanese so... kinda also translating)
1) Gemstones 💎
first of all, in those cases, the monsters you'll be going up against are going to be attacking you way more than you're going to be attacking them. so you're gonna need to boost your HP and defence, both special and physical.
this is why for your main (imma assume you have earrings/necklaces/rings/brooches/perfumes in which u can attach gemstones to), give each of your accessories a HP, SDEF, and PDEF gemstone. (health points, special defence, physical defence)
examples from my main card below.
now for your warding card.
u want as much attack power as possible, because u wanna deal a ton of damage when u can. so, get an ATK and a PATK/SATK. (attack, physical attack, special attack)
PATK -> for Physical Attackers.
SATK -> for Special Attackers.
(how to check: Characters -> Training -> Skills (next to Potential) -> on the top, it'll say either S. Attacker or P. Attacker )
now for the third gemstone. for this one, i recommend either a HP gemstone, or
INT if ur main is a S. Attacker
STR if ur main is a P. Attacker
i dunno why INT for S. Attackers and STR for P. Attackers; just says on the jp website 'recommend' 🤷♀️
again, example from my main card below. (my main is S. Attacker)
2) Special Attributes 🌟
as i said, WE WANNA RAISE UR ATTACK AND HP. so go for the attack and hp attributes. ATK for ur warding card, and HP for your earring/necklace/ring.
personally i tend to prioritize ATK more than HP.
for the PDEF, PATK, SDEF, and SATK in the perfume/brooch the jp website says smt about don't level up a specific kind for each attacker but. im kinda lazy so i just stopped leveling those up a while ago
3) OTHER IMPORTANT STUFF U SHOULD KNOW
Pick ur main. ONE. i cannot stress this enough. PICK ONLY ONE MAIN. because one strong main will get u further than two to three mains with meh power.
i highly suggest a SSR card for ur main. this is because SSR cards are sooooo much more powerful than SR cards in terms of basic attributes (at level 1, potency 0.0%, nothing equipped)
4) IF U DID ALL THIS AND STILL CAN'T SOLVE THE DAMN CASE
there is a last resort.
which is leveling up ur rank.
leveling up a rank reduces the amount of attack dealt on ur teams, and increases the amount of damage ur team deals on those cute/freaky monsters (anomalies?)
yep. so the chances of you winning will be significantly higher.
my suggestion is this: don't log in to the Campus as long as u can without exceeding 24 hours, and collect ur exp in one go. for players whose levels aren't that high, give it a good night's sleep. by next morning when u log in, ur rank has risen, and most likely you'll be able to solve the case.
i wish u all luck and dias 💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎
since u all wanted bits of wisdom on team/team building here u go!!! this post is based entirely on my experience, so if u have any other advice for teams/team building, feel free to drop a comment!!
also u only need 4 squads for cases, so i'll be explaining for a 4 squad team. i might also mention some stuff concerning the arena.
--------
first and foremost. i believe there are mainly two types of teams which will be useful for case solving. let's call them 1) main first and 2) main last. honestly i dunno which is more effective; sometimes 1 works when 2 doesn't, and vice versa.
1) Main First
example from my main acc below.
as u can see, the cards are in order of strongest -> weakest in terms of power. u can easily do this by pressing the opt. button at the bottom of the page.
the good thing about main first teams is that ur strongest card is at the front. this means they can deal more attacks on the anomalies ur going up against, dealing more damage in the long run. the anomalies won't just target ur main, they'll also target other cards (randomly i believe) so ur main can preserve their hp for quite a while until all ur other cards are down.
simply put, there will be a lot of turns before it becomes 1 against 4, so you'll have more chances to attack and deal more damage.
2) Main Last
again, example from my main acc.
this is my main last team. (yes i know 2.7M strength taiga is at the end but ignore that for a minute i'll explain later)
this is my default team, so i'll use this not just for cases, but also for arena and GOC/Ragnarok.
basically, main last teams have their main and stronger cards at the end, and fodder (weaker cards) in the beginning.
but!! fodder isn't just regular fodder. we're talking about fodder with "revenge" skills, essentially cards that have "sleep revenge" "poison revenge" "curse revenge" and "stun revenge".
allow me to elaborate.
in my 1st squad, i have
SSR Jiro (sleep revenge ++ / life flip)
SR Lyca (poison revenge / attack all)
SR Subaru (sleep revenge+)
R Luca (sleep revenge / physical defence break)
R Ritsu (auto guard)
R Ren (poison revenge)
looking at the stats i realized that this team might really not be the best for cases. um. never mind. it's great for arena tho! 😭
anyway. if u didn't notice, SSR Jiro and SR Lyca are my 3rd strongest and 4th strongest card respectively.
so for arena, im able to take out a certain amount of fodder (if my opponent's team is a main last team). for cases and arena (if my opponent's team is a main first team), im able to weaken them for a couple hundred turns via poison.
if ur going to build a main last team, i highly suggest u put poison revenge fodders in squad 1. they may not deal much damage, but poison WILL stick through till the end of the match.
for sleep revenge fodders, i suggest putting them on around 3rd squad or 4th squad. the best outcome would probably be that when ur sleep revenge fodder dies, ur main comes in.
now for squad 2.
R Jiro (curse entry / curse assault)
R Rui (curse revenge / curse assault / curse attack)
R Romeo (curse revenge)
R Subaru (sleep revenge)
R Alan (furious entry / furious strike)
R Towa (poison revenge)
um. looking at this imma change the order. romeo -> jiro -> rui
for curse revenge fodders, put them before the fodders/cards with curse attack. i believe that's kinda the only way to utilize them.
for my squad #2, since R towa is the 5th strongest for some reason (yes he beat SR Ed 😭), i put him there to deal damage. in the arena, towa (and alan; furious strike deals surprisingly big damage) will beat up fodders on the opponent's team. for cases, uhhhhhhh they'll just be fodder.
now for squad 3.
R Leo (charge entry / charged strike)
R Zenji (special attack break revenge)
R Haku (stun revenge / curse assault / curse attack)
R Lyca (stun revenge)
SR Ren (stun revenge+)
SR Kaito (stun revenge+)
hmmm. i keep revising as i analyze lol. exchanging haku with alan.
im actually not entirely sure how many turns the opponent gets stunned for stun revenge (think it was 100 turns for regular stun revenge and 200 for stun revenge+).
anyways i recommend putting stun revenge fodders before your main or your strong cards. hopefully?? they die fast enough. also highly recommend putting R Luca and R Zenji somewhere in ur team just for their P ATK break and S ATK break (and any other cards which have SATK/PATK breaks). especially for cases.
finally!! squad 4
SR Edward (stun revenge+ / curse assault / curse attack)
R Tohma (endurance)
R Yuri (endurance / life flip)
SR Tohma (basically in all attacks deals over 1x damage)
SSR Haku (main!!)
SSR Taiga (2nd strongest!!)
ehhhhh.... i feel satisfied enough with this squad.... i think
since this is a main last team, put ur main/mains in squad #4. preferably near the end. by then ur opponent should have weakened (at least a bit).
SR Edward is my 6th strongest card and also has stun revenge+, which is why he is in squad 4. he deals considerable damage to fodders, and if defeated by my opponent's main, well they'll be stunned! SR Tohma is my 8th strongest, plus his attacks are either 5x/2.5x/1.25x.
as for endurance, i put them with my main because they'll be in the playing field for a longer time, which means the attacks will be distributed, giving my main longer time to survive.
as for Taiga, i put him last because i didn't want him to die fast and leave Haku alone. (he's getting stronger so might change tho)
--------
summary!!
main first team
strongest -> weakest
it works relatively well. do this if ur lazy lol. but make sure to update it time to time as u get new cards and level up old ones.
2. main last team
fodder (poison revenge -> curse revenge (->curse attackers) -> sleep revenge / stun revenge) -> main
endurance can be put anywhere, but i suggest putting them around strong cards. (not necessarily ur main) u can also put them in the beginning to wear ur opponent down.
DO NOT FORGET R LUCA AND R ZENJI!!!
anyway that's my personal take on teams/team building!! feel free to comment ur own bits of wisdom!!
