THAT’S THE GOSS! apparently nobody 👀 but there’s a definite hierarchy, and geno is eyeballin the role and rank of “kept, easy lay for the powerful crime man to have whenever he feels like it” which is below “cherished lover and maybe romantic partner of the powerful crime man” on the official mobster ladder of power and responsibility. so it’s a spiritual side piece, if not one in actuality

Ooooohhhh man the beauty of it is that BOTH versions would be fantastic. Think about it. Farmer Sid with his arm around a gentle mutt in his profile photo. Exhausted Geno falling in love with sweet, quiet Sid and his beautiful farm. 

Conversely, Farmer Geno with three HUGE dogs in his photo, grin like a sunrise, who takes uptight, stressed Sid under his wing and shows him like, the meaning of love and relaxation and fun and stuff.

I imagine it like the fairy market in Stardust, if you've seen/read that! ie goods don't cost money, but rather "the colour of your hair" or "your memories from before you were five" or "a kiss"
