12:48 p.m. Kisama grumbles (to the irritation of the two bodyguards with him) and puts his phone away, wishing the time would go faster.
He's a long way from home-- 18 hours on a plane, to be exact. That's just what it takes to get from Naobi to Los Angeles, where Kisama Oushiza was planning to stay for the next week. The reason? Long story short, he's the Chief of Police of a small country, and their legal system is a joke. A broken, confusing, corrupt mess that no one trusts to give fair verdicts. How can he fix it? Kisama has no idea, and decided the best way is to travel around the world, and see how other countries manage the law.
What better place to check out than Los Angeles? The headlines about trials happening here were completely insane, sometimes even supernatural! So it only seemed fitting that Kisama should have a meeting with a prosecutor that looks like a cyborg.
(... Okay, that was just a coincidence. When Kisama called the Los Angeles Prosecutor's Office a few weeks ago, this mysterious 'Godot' was one of the few that would be available for a meeting. It took a few days to actually find a picture of the guy, and Kisama nearly choked on his coffee.)
The foreign chief snaps himself from his thoughts and checks his phone again. 1 p.m. Finally! Right on time. Kisama stands from his seat in the hallway (his bodyguards awkwardly following) and strolls a few doors down. Ah, this should be the right one. Knock knock knock.
