My sister, a Trump supporter, came for Thanksgiving this year, just as she does every year. We have avoided politics like the plague and have had a lovely time. She came bearing treats from the BevMo near her house. The Nikka Coffey Grain Whisky, which was my special request, was made even better by the fact that no one else will drink it straight and I refuse to put it on ice let alone in cocktails, which has meant it’s all for me. Delicious. But the real surprise has been Bittermilk #1, which is a barrel aged mixer for Old Fashioneds. While I’m a well known purist, I’m always up for something new and I have to say this stuff is pretty great. It calls for 4 parts booze to 1 part Bittermilk, but that proved way too sweet so I changed the ratio to about 8 to 1 and it’s lovely. We’ve been using either Old Forester or Rittenhouse with a few drops of Woodford Reserve cherry bitters and some nice burnt orange peel essence. It’s really good and I think it will be even better barrel aged, which is what I’ll be doing the next time I fill the barrel. Which will be tomorrow.

Can you tell me what shadow you used on your lids in your profile pic? The nude-beige one? Or is that just concealer?

The shade is called ‘Lifelike’ and it’s from the Chrysalis palette from Kat Von D. I used it over the Urban Decay primer potion in Eden which is a yellow toned beige shade which could also effect how it looks. I think Lifelike might be palette exclusive which is kinda meh but you can find a good dupe on temptalia.
