New Years Eve

Here it was again; the end of the year. Anticipation for the New Year was high all across the world. Resolutions being written on pieces of paper and parties starting all across the globe. Truly it is a magnificent time of year. Especially for those who welcomed the change that each new year brought. Amongst those excited people was Elizabeth Midford, who had spent the past few days preparing for the offices annual New Years Eve party. After having held a successful Christmas party, she’d been asked by her bosses father to come and plan the New Years party. Something she happily obliged to.

The time had come for the party, and throughout the most of the evening, everything was a success. Employees had been having a ball with other fellow coworkers and the family and significant others that had joined them for the evening. Everything was going perfectly and elizabeth had been enjoying herself, having a few drinks here and there and keeping company amongst her fellow peers.

As the time neared closer to midnight, the blonde saw out of the corner of her eyes, Ciel begin to slip away from the crowd. And, with her new New Years revolution coming by to make amends with her boss instead of teasing him constantly, she decides to depart herself, saying her goodbyes to those who would care about it, grabbing her coat and her purse and soon catching up to the male, breath slightly heavy as she began to speak. “Ciel, don’t tell me you really want to be by yourself tonight and ring in the New Year alone…”
