Eris x OC (Gianna) Drabble
No beta, we die like Beron. But in all seriousness, this is just a casual thing I whipped up. I'm not quite comfortable with short fiction so this was good practice.
FYI Gianna has two cousins, Al and Ludivine, whom I love to slot in simply because the dynamic is entertaining to write. If you wanna read more, I'll be posting Blood in the Wine later this year and some drabbles here and there in the meantime.
Anyway, enjoy a quick 1k under the cut. Rated...M? ish? idk it's just a vibe OKAY?!

Eris had long since lost track of time when he opened the sixth bottle of wine. Across from him, Gianna leaned over the table, face flushed a delicious pink as her eyes darted between her cards. Their engagement party had ended hours ago, but she had insisted, as did her cousins who were now flanking her at the table, on just one more game.
It was now several games later. Eris had unbuttoned his shirt just a hair, and relished the feeling of Gianna running her bare foot along his calf. Slowly. Adoringly. At first, it wasn’t clear if she was teasing him, but a subtle curve of her lips as she brushed past his knee was enough for him to know. They were supposed to be playing Primes, a children’s party game from the continent. Gianna was playing another game entirely.
“Hurry up!” Ludivine whined. She wobbled in her seat next to Eris. Like Gianna, she’d abandoned her sparkling heels, had progressively loosened the strings of her gown, and unpinned her chestnut hair until she’d looked thoroughly ravished by the Malbec they were drinking.
“Hush, I’m thinking.” Gianna said. Her hand wavered over the card furthest on the left. And then, she plucked a different one entirely, placing it on the pile between them. A Lady of Hearts. She hummed, satisfied, and ran her foot a little higher. If it weren’t for the company, Eris might have insisted she crawl under the table instead. They were tucked away in one of the spare rooms on the southern side of the Forest house, far away from the court’s prying eyes. Still, it wasn’t a secret how much he adored making her beg for him. How he loved the way she cried his name so sweetly.
“Last card, by the way,” she said with a wink. Gianna finished her wine and leaned back in her seat. She held the glass to Ludivine who dutifully refilled it to the brim.
“Mother’s tits,” Alois groaned. “I swear you cheat.” Gianna’s other cousin drew a card and then another before he placed a Lady of Spades on the top of the pile. His cravat was barely tied at this point and he’d run his hand through his hair one too many times. Gianna rolled her eyes.
“I never cheat.” She scowled at Eris. “Unlike someone.”
Eris smiled and tossed Jack of Spades onto the pile.
“I’ve never cheated in my life.” He fingered the stem of his glass and returned Gianna’s wink. She’d never gotten over that one game they played (and she lost) from nearly half a century ago.
Gianna kicked him.
“Well, I believe you Gigi,” Ludivine slurred. She slapped down a Jester. “Now draw four. And the court is diamonds.” Gianna obliged. Alois groaned again. Chance was apparently not on his side tonight.
By now, Gianna’s foot was nearly between Eris’s legs, gently rubbing up his thigh in small, gentle strokes. Her cousins must be abysmally drunk to have not noticed. She was slouched in her seat, leaning back as though simply fatigued from a night of drinks and engagement games. How many times had she done this to one of the Autumn courtiers during her salons? Eris didn’t want to think about that.
Another round went by with no clear winner. Another bottle was consumed (primarily by Ludivine). But Eris managed to catch Gianna’s foot before she had the chance to press it at the growing bulge in his trousers. Across from him, she stilled. He wasn’t normally one to admire feet, but there was something erotic about holding onto hers. He rubbed a thumb over the ball of her foot and she jerked back with a grimace. Her knee hit the table, and sent the wine bottle tumbling to the floor.
"Mother's tits, Gianna, can you stop trying to rub his cock?" Alois groaned. “We are playing cards.” Ludivine slapped a hand over her mouth. Her shoulders trembled, tears forming at the corner of her eyes.
"I'm not the one with a foot fetish!” Gianna whined. She attempted to pull herself from Eris’s grasp and failed. Very, very few things scandalized her, so Eris was pleased to know he’d found at least one other thing to torment her with. He placed his final card on the pile, a Lord of Hearts. The other three gaped at the card.
"I win," Eris said. He let go of Gianna’s foot and stood from the table. At last, he could slip away and claim a few hours' rest before his father demanded his presence for a gauntlet of meetings in the morning.
Ludivine attempted to grab his arm but plummeted to the floor instead.
"Wait, are you leaving? Boo!" She tossed a shoe at him. “I want a rematch!”
“Are you even able to stand?” Eris asked, raising a brow. The female attempted to push herself up, failed, and stuck out her tongue. He hummed. Ludivine may have just recently come of age, but she certainly still acted like a child.
When he turned to face Gianna, she was scowling. It was charming how something as simple as losing a game soured her mood. He took her hand from where it rested on her remaining cards and pressed his lips against the back of it. The diamond on her engagement ring glinted in the firelight.
Gianna made no move to stop him, still looked upon him with disdain, but he caught the scent of her interest.
Alois had abandoned his drink to haul his sister from the floor. He winced as she elbowed him in the ribs because she could most certainly stand on her own! And she insisted on that rematch. It was not an option! He sighed in resignation.
“I’m out. Those two are one fight away from fucking.”
Crossing her arms, Ludivine wrinkled her nose. She did nothing to help her brother get her into her chair again.
“Okay and?” Ludivine said. “Like you haven’t fucked someone in front of all of us before!” Alois sputtered at this, and launched into an explanation Eris had no interest in hearing. He passed Gianna without a word, but he felt her eyes on his back as he left for his room. He’d give her fifteen minutes before she joins him.
