Windowpane Oyster (Placuna placenta)

...a species of Placunid oyster which is known to occur from the shallows of the Gulf of Aden around India, east to Malaysia and the southern South China Sea. They are also known from around the Philippines where they are especially abundant around the province of Capiz. Windowpane oysters are typically found in muddy or sandy shores, bays, coves, and lagoons to depths of around 100 m (330 ft). Like most bivalves, P. placenta is a filter feeder, taking in water around it and filtering out zooplankton for food.

Actinonaias pectorosa

....is a species of freshwater Unionid bivalve mollusc, which is endemic to the Cumberland River and Tennessee River drainages in the eastern United States. A. pectorosa typically occurs in sand-gravel bottoms in riffles with fast currents, typically in water less than three feet in depth. Like most bivalves Actinonaias pectorosa is a filter feeder.

Blood Cockle (Anadara granosa)

Also simply known as the "blood clam", the blood cockle is a species of ark clam (Arcidae) which is found throughout the Indo-Pacific region, ranging from the eastern coast of South Africa, north/east to Southeast Asia, Australia, and Japan. A. granosa gets is ominous common name due to the red hemoglobin liquid which resemble blood. Like most bivalves A. granosa is a filter feeder and is common in intertidal mud flats.

Dromedary Naiad (Dromus dromas)

Also known as the dromedary pearly mussel, the dromedary naiad is a critically endangered species of Unionid mussel which is endemic to the Cumberland and Tennessee River systems in the United States. Dromedary naiads occur in clean, fast-flowing water and cannot tolerate low quality water. This is led to a large population decline due to pollution, increased silt and the impoundment of waterways.

Pitar lupanaria

...a species of venus clam (veneridae) that occurs throughout the Eastern Pacific Ocean. Like other members of the genus Pitar P. lupanarai posses an unusual series of curved spines on the posterior slop of each valve, their exact function remains unknown. Like other bivalves P. lupanaria is a filter feeder and will filter the water around it for organic material.
