Upset in Vegas! Dmitry Bivol beat Canelo Alvarez via clear unanimous decision last night to retain his light heavyweight title. He wore a black and burgundy set, with BIVOL spelled out in individually boxed letters across his waistband. He had matching (if slightly darker) Grant gloves and matching footwear. Solid and understated look. Canelo broke out one of his pink looks (he’ll break out purple or pink here and there, as he did for Cotto and Yidrim). He had matching footwear and Cleto Reyes gloves. The trunks contrasted well with each other, but otherwise can’t say this is my favorite set for Canelo. Entertaining fight and the judges got it right, which is refreshing to say.
