I don't want to get hate for it but I have a q for the mods here (seem to be friendlier than most other confession blogs). What's up with the bjd day? some couple years ago there was only 1 day each year, but now the amount of ""bjd days"" have increased like there's no tomorrow! why?, really, I'm curious. if you're into photography then you'll take a pic of your dolls without a reason, and if you're not into it it's hell to have all this posts reminding you constantly what you don't want to do.

Hello anon, we have really no idea since we don’t participate in such events. Maybe some of the readers will have more info about it. Sorry we can’t be of any more help.

BJD Day, February 2016

Yesterday and today were nose job days for my two newest guys! Tai (right) and Liminka’s (left) characters both have specific noses that I am VERY PARTICULAR ABOUT. They had to perfect even if it meant I had to spend several hours hunched over a water bowl or a sink with some 1000 grit sandpaper in my hand. But I finally got them to a point where I’m happy! 

Thus, time for a crappy mock-up for BJD Day! (Also, in Finland Valentine’s Day is actually called “Friend’s Day”, which fits these two very nicely, being good buddies even if an unlikely duo. vuv

N-now they just need... clothes... and hair... and ears... and face-ups... and Limi needs some mods to his body so he can stand hunched like he should without being a finger-amputation hazard. x’D Hopefully soon I’ll get my new soft pastels and wig fibres so I can get to work!

I now wish I had fit one of Limi’s hands in there... His long nails would have been fun to show off too! Oh well, some other time~.

But have some quick mock-ups of their future wigs at least! For those who are curious, here’s the unedited picture. (Don’t worry, that wig is just a temporary solution.) Also-. Sorry about the crappy phone camera quality. x’D My better camera (that is like... 10 years old...) burns through ordinary batteries stupidly fast and I don’t have any rechargeable batteries that work so... decided to be cheap (and nature-friendly, I think) and use my phone.

HNGH. I love these two dolls too much, even if they’re majorly WIP. ;A; *Clings*

Logan also got an adorable Valentine from @karla-chans-bjds‘s Xyphos! He thought it was cute and got warm fuzzies, even if his brother did pick on him for it. ;) Thank you, Karla and Xyphos!

Diana and Orpheus must be one of my favorite couples just because of how strange and different they both are. Orpheus is the first tree, Diana is an outcast nymph, when they met neither of them could really have imagined this sort of development. 

I thought they were appropriate considering today is BJDday as well as Valentine’s day!
