First 2 Minutes Of Season 3 XO, Kitty (2023)

Last sketchdump of the year! 😊 Bunch of odds and ends I drew from May-Dec, feat. Kitsune Audrey, a Let It Flow! scene, Edmund Davis from Time Princess, my new OC Nona, and friend OCs Eunice, Johnny and Bean. Please Keep Reading below for context and credits!

1-2) Kitsune Audrey Grace is back!! I first drew her for Halloween 5 years ago here: [link] and I've been wanting to draw more of her all this time, and especially in that first pose! 😭 She got magicked into in a nine-tailed kitsune again on OCSN this past October and she also met a nine-tailed inter-dimensional homestuck kitty belonging to a Roxy Lalonde account xD

3) A car scene from the Let It Flow RP we're doing; from left to right I drew Norma (@crazypotatofan), my Audrey (in her green wig disguise [link] [link], plus a hoodie lent to her by Juliette for extra concealment from the mafia), Juliette (@nalak-bel) and Wesley (@ampreh)! They had all just seen something very surprising...👀

4) This is Edmund Davis from Time Princess, which is a phone app game that I was obsessed with from 2021-2022. I found an Edmund roleplayer on OCSN and we've been having fun interacting through our characters there pretty much everyday so I drew this as a little gift for them! <3

5-6) @sirou46 and I made OCs together! ^^ The gloomy girl here is my new OC Nona, and in the next picture she's being accosted by her bff, Sirou's OC Eunice ✨ They are very Wicked/Wednesday inspired :)

7) An extra thing I drew for one last Weehawken RP with @clarabellumsart :> Audrey and Johnny goofing around before the camp dance. She's wiping her spit on his face as revenge after he got his own spit on one of her hair clips >:0

8) Audrey did an art trade with Bean (@lemonine) on OCSN. 😊 She doodled them on her whiteboard; this was before his trip to Boston. On her whiteboard is a "Shopping" List which means it's a list of things she needs to loot in the apocalypse. Bandaids are on the list since BP had used her last box up recently. This is also not actually Audrey's drawing style but I was too lazy to draw in her style so I just drew in my style instead lol xD

this was an absolute joy to draw; Eunice is my favorite Frontier-original girl and it's a crying shame she doesn't even wear her swimsuit unless you go through That Storyline

With wanting to do more with my Mechamorph AU..as well as drawing things that aren’t just Mechamorphs. Figured why not add Digit fellow Co-Workers and do my own design. Meet, Eunice!

Not only working with Digit as one of Azmuths assistants, the two bond over similarities from Co-workers into treating each other like siblings, which leads to them goofing off at work mostly, something that makes Azmuth very grumpy

All right, just binge-watched Season 2 of BEEF, which had a fascinating premise, maybe not so great landing, but still processing it, so let's talk through the ending. Spoilers ahead:

So, at the end, Austin on the verge of turning in the thumb drive to the police, maybe "getting the girl," and becoming the hero of the story who could take down Madame Park, decides to turn back, return the evidence, and gets back with Ashley. Why is this? Why not go through to the unknown, especially when Eunice, albeit reluctantly, confesses her love back?

The key is in the dialogue. Madame Park tells Austin that love only exists within the capitalist system, within its constraints—implying that it is a function within the system. Austin's love for Eunice then seems to be a paradox, as he is on the verge of potentially overturning a system of money and corruption to explore this possibility. But as he hears Eunice tell him what he wants to hear, perhaps just to get the evidence in, perhaps with some truth to it, he realizes that it is not guaranteed. That if he goes after her, a woman that reminds him of his mother, he may never get the "love" (power) that he is looking for, because he would be submitting to a symbol of the matriarchy.

Meanwhile, Austin knows that Ashley does not love him. He has confronted her with the truth of her abandonment issues, of her unhealed trauma that is in the way of having any form of trust or love with her partner. But by knowing this weakness, knowing that she will always love him and never let him go, he also knows that he will always hold power over her—the power of knowledge. And with the promise of a son on-the-way (with a fertilized embryo), he has all the ingredients to submit to the patriarchy.

And Austin does just that—submits. Despite Ashley becoming the breadwinner, despite any reversal in gender expectations, Austin's choice of love continues the patriarchy and sustains the capitalist system.
