some mockups for a doll chateau queena! she’s been on my wishlist for ages, but i’ve been conflicted about what colour to get her in since they released their tan resin… trying to get some designs going before i decide (original images via dc’s website.)

On the top is an older mockup I made of my planned Doll Chateau/Dollove Cecelia hybrid. The second image is a much newer one, intended more as motivation to complete the character moreso than a sense of how she would actually look (though I think I improved the proportions on the second one). Hence the more cartoon look. I’m going to order the body in white resin, since I want to try blushing rather than dyeing to get her gray-blue color. Dollzone and Doll-Chateau are actually in the process of discontinuing their paper white color, in favor of a more pinkish color, so I have to order before April 28th if I want the old white. I’m in the process of emailing them to find out how much shipping would cost for the body, as I may order through Mint on Card rather than the company itself (Mint on Card’s preorder date is cutting it a bit close, so I’d prefer to order from Doll Chateau itself for my peace of mind, unless the difference in shipping cost is too much to deal with). Vriska Serket is a character from the webcomic Homestuck, by Andrew Hussie. I’ve had plans to make a BJD of her for a while, but never had the funds until recently. Hopefully the head and body will work well together, though I will almost certainly have to mod the neck hole of the Dolllove Cecelia head to fit the Doll Chateau neck. Wish me luck!

Played with some blues for Matar instead, while keeping the faun theme. Could look nice with some dusty-purple accessories. (Also that’s supposed to be a scroll she’s holding. I plan to make a bunch for her. ♥)
