Den of Angels has a thread in their forum games section called "Dear Blank, Please Blank".

It's relatively inactive (as are many parts of the forum tbh), though there are a couple recent posts in this game thread from 2025 including one of mine.

I like the "letters" I came up with, so here they are:

Dear old dolls I missed, You're invited to a party at my place. I'm sorry I didn't have the funds for you before you were discontinued, whether because of a different focus or the fact that I was a teenager with no money. Please come visit, and maybe stay a while. Sincerely, Someone feeling nostalgic about old sculpts and styles in the hobby.

Dear dolls I own but am neglecting, I apologize that winter absolutely stinks. I want to work on my projects but spraying MSC is a no-go right now so I can only do so much. I want to make you *you*, but I'm discouraged because the stuff I was excited for doesn't work with this weather. And no, I'm too lazy to sew your outfits instead of whining about not being able to work on faceups. With love, Someone who misses the hype.

Dear anyone with experience in making burn scars for BJDs, How frustrating is it and what am I in for in terms of effort versus durability? (scared) Signed, Someone too lazy to make an actual thread about it at the moment.

Felt like sharing some doll photos despite the bad lighting and quality, to prove that these blorbos exist and will be worked on!

Currently on vacation and the mini me is distressed by the fact that there are TWO Shigarakis now, one of them terrorizing her was more than enough...

She doesn't seem to mind the Dabi as much though, but maybe she's just overwhelmed rn 😓 I have to pack them all up again tomorrow for the trip home.

Shigs needs more wig styling and trimming, I got a recommendation for using an eyebrow razor and looking up how scene kids do layers.

I also have a 1/3 sized doll on layaway to be my mini me (luckily within the US so no tariff issues) though she will be quite a bit of a project as I will be modding the body to look afab rather than amab and it will be my first mod, possibly... going in the deep end a little but I've been wanting to start somewhere.

Decided to test whether the Himiko Toga nendoroid accessories would work on the nendoroid doll body since there is going to be an official nendoll Toga release. Unfortunately, while the neck piece is relatively stable, the back piece would collide with the head due to the higher back peg position.

I love the posability for the ob11 (not shown) bodies, but I really wish they wouldn't come apart so often, on the other hand nendoll bodies are VERY sturdy but their posing is very... lacking. :c If anyone knows how other bodies (Piccodo, YMY etc.) might compare in both departments, I'd love to read some reviews, as I'm almost tempted to look into nendoll bodies again, posing be damned, if they won't flop over all the time. But on the other hand I love the cute expressive poses my ob11 can make... it's a dilemma.

Forgot to mention!! Jinx arrived yesterday and I love her! I was ready to wait 7+ months, I ordered her in December but she's here!!

The sculpt is a bit less than exact but I'm not sure if I'm willing to mod her/commission someone to since she is close enough for me rn. To me, she is near perfect regardless and I can't wait to share pics of her when she has more stuff! Because. I don't have any wigs or clothes for her because I wasn't expecting her this early... ^^; but I have an idea of how I could make a temporary wig with some yarn I have, so that should be interesting!

First clothes made for Jinx so she can sit out with me. I'm a raw beginner when it comes to this stuff, and I've only ever made a couple SMD stuff from RequiemArt (that looked a lot better tbh) but I figured out how to do the shirt and looked at a bunch of tutorials for the pants- I figured out the waistband on my own and even though it's all scrap fabric I'm proud of it.

Next is her wig but with an upcoming convention and cosplay con crunch, I may not get to it before I leave for vacation in August. So it may be a while, but it'll be worth it, I think! And in the meantime I'll try to get vacation pics of my SMDs and maybe Hal and Laika if I bring them.

I'm still waiting on Jinx and still excited but I also found the perfect sculpt for....

POWDER!!

So I was looking on Insta and I realized the Doll in Mind Sweet Aria sculpt fits nearly perfectly!! I made a set of photos collected from Instagram comparing them and so basically once I buy this one art thing I've been saving for, and then a new laptop, and if Jinx isn't here to spoil by then... well having a tiny Powder to be cute for photoshoots and sometimes sad (and in some cases with Jinx when she arrives).... that would be so sweet!!

So apparently there's a WTB on DoA for her(Aria) already offering more than I had thought to before I looked... so it may be a bit, but after this I'm planning on focusing on my current dolls anyway (such as Vriska), to be honest after Powder I'm done with new dolls for a bit. Even if others look cute. It's been so long with being too busy for doll stuff so I'm planning to go all out in crafting when I can! What with making Vriska's God Tier hoodie and a crop top to match, whatever Jinx needs (I want to try a yarn wig with a brushed out fringe and braided yarn ... braids), and spoiling Laika (It's about time! She got new shoes in a care package and now I want to get her some actual nice clothes that aren't 10 years old- though she has some stuff already I got custom from I-forget-where-and-I-need-to-check.

Seriously, I know it seems out of nowhere that I got inspired for Powder, but I'm confident that I can stick with my current group of dolls once she and Jinx come home. And that's exciting!

Here’s who was my back-to-school focusing motivation for the month of September!! She is on layaway and I “earned” the decision to do so (I have a system ^^; ) by getting my work/todos done regularly that month.

Her name will be Telereuthe and she will be fae/goblin/luna moth themed!!

It’s  gonna be a hard wait but I can manage. It’ll be worth it!
