So far, i enjoyed my second hand old dolls more than the ones freshly made specially for me. Maybe i'm afraid to break my new dolls and that's why i don't feel much about them. My most expensive doll for now is Dream Valley's Sherra (because of the payment system currency problem). She arrived with marks on her forhead, almost on the eyebrow. I thought it's not a big deal, i'll sand it. Here's a pic.

I tried to sand them down, but they're too deep. I'm afraid to destroy the face relief. They're less visible now, but still frustrating. She was bought with a help of proxy, so nothing can be done about it. No replacement or anything. Overall, she seems to be decent quality, she even doesn't have seamlines. But those marks. Frustrating.

With old dolls it's obvious that they're not perfect. So they cannot frustrate or disappoint this much.

I LOVEE seeing everyone's bjds and especially on little red note the styling goes so hard...but it always makes me so sad because I can never style like that- not necessarily because I can never style my dolls, but because it will be tainted by the fact that it will still be my styling

I want to get a Doll Chateau Sharon and an IOS

Luce for two characters I want in doll form but I'm worried they will not look good side by side. Like, will she look too fantastical beaide him?? Will he be TOO tall beaidw her? Ugh.

While saving up for my first bjd i am enjoying/stressing over 'designing' my character. I have found a head and body that I think will be perfect for her. But they are from two different companies and I am really worried the hybrid just won't work. If i go with the body from the same head company (the face sculpt is just so perfect for the character) i would have to seriously mod it and idk if I am ready for that.
