A lot of trials and errors took place while crafting Motesto’s gear. The saberstaff is still not finished, as it doesn’t have a proper hilt yet.

The (love)Making of Motesto - Faceup and Bodypaint
Mostly dry pastel, watercolor pencils and a lot of patience were used for the blushing and the details. I sealed the many layers of color with some Liquitex Matt Medium diluted in water and applied with my airbrush. At last I covered it with three layers of Liquitex Matt Varnish from a spray can.
It did chip at some joints and around the waist where my doll stand grips him :(

The (love)Making of Motesto - Wig and Scar
The same flexible paste was used to make the headcap and the scar pattern. The wig was made with Kanekalon hair sewn directly into the headcap and styled with a heatgun at low settings.
