“Hey, Braxley. How’s the Quidditch?” Elena didn’t follow the sport, so she had no idea really what she was talking about. Only that he played the sport.

The Flight of the Dragon music festival was simultaneously Sierra’s favorite and least favorite time of year. She had performances almost every day, and on the worst of the days, she had four performances. Two with CRWN, two on the little stage with her cover band. Today, however, she was free. And she was determined to enjoy her day. Sierra was just getting herself an iced tea and a donut when her day was brightened even more when she saw Braxley. They’d been texting since they got coffee together, and she knew he would be at the fest. However, they hadn’t exactly made concrete plans to meet up. Sierra quickly ordered another tea and donut before making her way over to the man.
“Braxley, hey. You like the festival?” She asked, holding out the tea for him to take. “I got you some mango tea, by the way. It’s my favorite festival treat.”

“Did you get me something good? It’s my eighteenth birthday, you know. That means I’m an adult and it’s the last birthday you’re legally allowed to buy me barbies.”

Dinner. | Fielding Family
Kendall barely ate her dinner. She spent the whole night giving one worded answers and picking at the food that she had on her plate, too nervous for what she was about to do to trust her stomach. Once it seemed like Ian, Bailey, and Braxley were done, she stood up.
“I have an announcement,” Kendall said. She took a shaky breath and stared at the food on the table. “Back in the summer, I went looking for my mother. Only I didn’t find her. Well-- I did. I know who she is, I know where she is. I just haven’t gone to see her yet because....” She felt like the world was gonna end. She just needed to get it over with.
“I found my sister.” Kendall looked up to see the reactions of her family. “And, uh, she’s a witch. A healer, actually.” Silence. “I snuck off during the summer once I discovered her all the way to Crowned Cay to meet her and yeah. I, uh. I still want to find my mom because I just want to let her know that I still made it even if she gave up on the two best things she could’ve had and...” Kendall furiously wiped a tear from her face. She was scared. “Yeah. I’m gonna go to my room now because I think I’m about to die so I’ll see y’all later.”
Kendall made sure to push her chair in before walking out of the dining room. She went upstairs to her bedroom, leaving the door open just a crack, before falling face first into her bed. She let herself cry freely, finally feeling all of the things she didn’t allow herself to feel before-- relief, fear, regret...
After about five minutes of wallowing in her soup of emotions, she pulled out her phone. She sent a text to Holland before turning it back off. And then she packed to go back to school, because she had nothing else to do.

“It’s so cold, I feel like my fingers are going to freeze off. How am I supposed to play when my hands are so cold?” Sierra half mumbled to Brax as she squeezed her hands together. For someone who had recitals regularly, Sierra always had serious stage fright. She hated it. “Maybe I could fake play.”

Sierra had spent the entire day puttering around her apartment, cleaning things or playing her bass. She was nervous. This was unlike the blazing Thunderbird who usually tackled everything head on and quick. But she couldn’t help it, Braxley made her head get all jumbly and her insides all gooey. She had sent Brax a text with her address so he knew where to pick her up from, so everything needed to be perfect. With a wave of her wand, the dust lifted from the high points of the room and went into the bin. She finished her makeup with butterflies in her chest, and then all she had to do was wait.
Sierra was sat on the piano bench and played while she waited. It helped ease the nervousness for the date she was about to go on. And then there was a knock at the door, and the playing stopped. With a deep breath, Sierra stood and walked to the door. She was fine, she’d be wonderful and the date would be good. Sie swung the door open and smiled at the beautiful man standing outside. “Hi. You’re right on time.”

“Oh my--” Sierra stopped in her tracks, looking at the man in front of her. “You’re Braxley Knox. I’m wearing your jersey.” She tried to keep it cool, something that was usually easy for her. However, it was impossible with the Seeker for her favorite Quidditch team was standing right there.
