When Mr. “I’m done with life” (aka Dr. Michael Robinavitch) realized that he had feelings for Dennis, he almost went crazy thinking about how fucked he was, but he had no choice, no escape.
Everything was so fucking obvious that it was Dana who approached him with her thoughts: how he was all hands around Whitaker, how his eyes always followed the young doctor around the rooms, how he made it feel like there were only the two of them in the room, how his gaze could pierce through the young man until it reached his soul, or how his “innocent touches” were seen by everyone as “too much” or “lasting too long.”
At first, he was outraged and even offended by Dana’s “allegations,” but over time he slowly started paying more attention, mostly to how his heart couldn’t handle the way Dennis would randomly smile at him, or how the boy would make eyes at Robby across the room like they were accomplices in some sort of joke or mission.
Then days turned into months, and the doctor suddenly wasn’t so sure about his initial plans for his sabbatical, thanks to how Dennis had worked his way into Robby’s mind as if it had always been his place to call home.
You know he’s into you too, right, old man? Trinity said once when she caught Robby staring at Dennis with a wide smile one time, which honestly made him jump and freak out about how stupid he must have looked around the pitt, miserable even.
And that was the turning point, the exact moment that made Michael realize that he should talk to his controversially young crush, only to be met with a watery look in Whitaker’s eyes, followed by a sloppy kiss.
Now, months into their relationship, the pittlings can’t even stand how the two lovebirds can’t maintain their professionalism during shifts: how the touches last longer, how their eyes practically form hearts whenever they meet.
As Dr. Santos would say: “EXTRA! EXTRA! READ ALL ABOUT IT! DR. ROBBY IS IN HIS FEELINGS AND HE CAN’T GET OUT OF IT!”
