and ok let me go insane for jojo & co's writing here for a second, but one thing i am obsessed with is the two matching flashbacks between ray and top (ray losing his mom because of alcoholism paralleled with top getting ptsd from almost dying in a fire). and that's one thing i want EVERYONE to start talking about. because while on the whole we're all very familiar with the trauma-induced alcoholism narrative, we don't talk nearly enough about people who engage in promiscuous sex and use of sex as a form of escaping trauma. and the fact that that is (at least in my personal experience) a very male coping mechanism. idk it just floored me because i don't think i've ever watched a show that engages with that so explicitly.
