Lorelei Accent;

So, all I’m saying is Lorelei’s accent sounds REAL familiar. Not sure if the timeline works out between the PreSequel and BL3 though. Thoughts?

FL4K has more than just 3 pets!

(Sorry for picture quality on some of these, not a lot of frames to work with)

Hear me out on this one. In TWO different shots of FL4K running, the new “mutated Rakk” flies in front of them. In images 1 + 2 below this bullet we see the Vault Hunters and the new creature flying in front of them with a noticeable burning effect.

Here’s where it really comes together.

Image 1 below, we see FL4K with their palm out.

Image 2 below, as FL4K puts their hand down we see a small burst of a flame-vortex appearing in front of them...

Image 3 below, this shot begins moving very quickly towards the Vault Hunters, but from where the burst of flame was we see a trail of flame / embers and the tail of the “mutated Rakk” is just caught on camera before panning up.

I believe FL4K will have their core 3 pets as we’ve seen in most shots (Skag, Spiderant, Cat-Primate thing), but some of FL4K’s skills will enable them to call forth other pets to assist in battle briefly.

Phase’s BL3 Speculation

[ Disclaimer: I anticipate being wrong about all my theories because I tend to overthink Borderlands lore to an unhealthy degree. Which should be an excellent reason not to do this at all. Yet here we are!! ]

—  Maya has spent the intervening years hunting for information on Sirens, Eridians and the Vaults. The girl with her is an apprentice siren or alternatively mentoring her as a steward/librarian given the responsibility of keeping the knowledge safe for future generations. 

— Troy Calypso’s siren markings are red (inverted from the natural blue) suggesting corruption of the natural order. This is probably due to him being male and not being meant to have them at all. It has already been widely speculated that his ability involves sapping/leeching siren power. I suspect that this was a result of being in the womb with Tyreen and a mutation/adaptation for survival. I think it’s possible that Troy has a symbiotic/parasitic relationship with his sister that’s needed to sustain him, and this could be part of their motivation to go after the other sirens.
