After all these shit-storms over TADC I feel like 100+ yo druid seeing exactly same modus operandi for long years.
Apparently a lot of people in fandoms:
1. Can’t deal with a fact that character they don’t like isn’t hated by everyone on a level they want
+ because of that they use arguments to make non-haters feel guilty about their non-hate feelings toward character. Creating „questioning morality” argument for people who somehow doesn’t mix reality with fiction and like some negative characters is another story
2. Are angry that character they don’t like is a main character and their favs aren’t
3. Try to intimidate or give pressure to creator, or use random arguments against them when their fan theories or their vision of show/media doesn’t match creator’s narration
4. Deny some obvious thropes in their hated character to not lose their „morally superior” position which they put themselves
It often successfully distracts me from show. Hope some sociologist research this topic bc the pattern is so obvious it hurts my eyes.
