“Hogwarts food is the best food.” You stated, shoving a big spoonful of food into your mouth.
“Agreed.” Your boyfriend Sirius Black replied, copying your actions. You looked around the small table in the Great Hall and you were glad no one was watching either of you. It was currently Easter break at Hogwarts and there were only a few people who stayed back. This meant there was no need for the four big tables and instead, there was one medium sized table that fit everyone on it.
You looked over at your boyfriend and smiled, glad you got to spend some time with him. He saw you smiling at him and winked at you, making you look down and blush slightly. Even after dating for over a year, actions like this still had an effect on you. You were happy that it was just you two at this time. You and Sirius had no choice but to stay at Hogwarts this Easter, for two different reasons. Your friends had invited you to go over to their houses for the break, but it meant that you would have to be split up. You two weren’t a ‘disgustingly sweet’ couple and could spend nights apart, but you hadn’t had many nights or days together and really wanted to just be alone for a few days. This break was the perfect opportunity for this and your friends understood this and let you stay at Hogwarts.
You sighed in content as you finished your big meal and looked at your boyfriend as he took your hand from under the table and squeezed it.
“Are you ready to go back up to your dorm?” You asked looking up at him.
“Sorry love, but I was hoping to go the owlery to reply to mother dearest.” He said, ending it in a sarcastic tone. You smiled sympathetically at your boyfriend.
This morning he had received a letter from his mother that was not nice in the slightest.
“Would you like me to come with you?” You offered, hoping you could offer some support to your boyfriend, knowing how horrible that letter made him feel.
“I think I’ll be fine.” He stated and you knew he wanted to do it in private. This time you squeezed his hand under the table and you smiled softly at him.
“Do you know what you’re going to write?” You asked curiously.
“Not in the slightest.” He whispered, leaning in and whispering in your ear, “I’ll meet you up in my dorm yeah?” He started getting up and you got up as well.
“Okay.” You smiled as you excused yourself from dinner and both walked out of the Great Hall holding hands. When you got out the doors you turned to each other and he kissed you.
“I’ll be quick my love.” He yelled dramatically running to the owlery as you giggled to yourself, walking to the Gryffindor Common Room.
You and Sirius had been spending the majority of your time in his dorm. It smelled like him and you liked that smell. And Sirius claimed that your dorm smelt too flowery. You said the password and walked straight up the stairs to his dormitory. You walked in and walked over to his bed. You sat on the side and bit your lip as you realised you didn’t have any pyjamas in his dorm. You made a mental note to keep some in his dorm just in case for times like this. You looked around the messy dorm and found the perfect replacement.
You got up and bent down to pick up one of Sirius’ shirts. Surely he wouldn’t mind if you stole one of his shirts for the night. You undressed and put the shirt on. You went into the bathroom to see how it looked on you.
You smiled at your reflection and stood up on the tip of your toes to see where it reached. It reached just above your knee, it wasn’t too long and it wasn’t too short. It was perfect. You smiled in content as you walked back over to his bed. You sat back down on the edge and waited for him to come to his dorm.
You were only sitting there for a few minutes before Sirius barged in exclaiming, “Well that was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to write.”
“What about that History of Magic essay we had to write last month?” You jokingly asked as he laid down next to you, you lying down next to him.
“Well, that was the second hardest thing I’ve ever had to write.” He sighed making you giggle. He had a big pout on his face, but as he looked over to you and looked you up and down, his face brightened.
“Are you wearing my shirt?” He asked, a big smirk evident on his face.
“Maybe.” You said blushing a little. He chuckled and got up, placing his hands on either side of your head so he was hovering over you. He started attacking your face with kisses, which made you giggle.
“I think the shirt looks better on you than it ever did on me.” He admitted making your eyes widen in mock surprise and you dramatically gasp.
“Did Sirius Black just admit that someone was better looking than him?” You asked sarcastically making Sirius grin and chuckle, putting his head down, his long hair falling on the sides of his face.
“I never said you looked better than me, I just said the shirt looked better on you.” He said looking up and emphasising the word ‘shirt’.
“It’s alright babe, I know I’m better looking than you.” You stuck your tongue out at him as he rolled back next to you.
“I know you are my love.” He whispered in your ear putting his head in the crook of your neck. You made another mental note that maybe a spare pair of pyjamas wasn't necessary.
“So, what’s the plan for the night?” You asked grabbing his hair in your hand and playing with it. He hummed in content before he replied.
“Well I’m going to get ready for bed, and I know this might sound lame, but can we just stay in bed and cuddle? Writing that letter really drained my energy.” He sighed, resting his head on your neck.
“Of course we can my love.” You said, slightly pulling on his hair making him hum. You both stayed like that for a while before you broke the silence.
“So, are you going to get ready for bed?” You inquired, trying to look at Sirius. He chuckled replying, “Well, I am now.” You giggled as he got up and stuck his tongue out at you. You sat up and stuck yours out back.
You moved your hand along his quilt, it was all wrinkled from you and Sirius laying on it. You slightly smoothed it out with your hands as Sirius got ready. You bit your lip as you heard the tap run. You sighed and flopped down on his bed. Being uncomfortable, you moved. You were still uncomfortable, so you moved again. It took you a few more moves until you were finally comfortable. You could hear the handle turning on the bathroom door and turned your head to look at the door.
Sirius came out, shirtless with just boxers on, you smiled at the sight. Sirius smirked at how you were laying on his bed which only made you smile bigger. He sat on the edge of the bed and asked, “Can you please move?” You smirked at this.
“Why?” You asked, acting innocent.
“Because you are sprawled out on my bed and I cannot fit on the bed.” He explained raising an eyebrow at you. You giggled at this. You were laying on your back with your feet on either corner at the end of his bed and your hands were on either corner at the top of his bed.
“But I am comfortable this way!” You exclaimed, dramatically sighing.
“Please move.” Your boyfriend chuckled running a hand through his long hair.
“Make me.” You challenged him, a smug smile on your face.
“If you don’t move, I’ll tickle you.” He threatened, making you laugh.
“Sure you will.” You exclaimed, playfully rolling your eyes at him. Sirius raised an eyebrow at you and jumped on top of you, his hands holding your arms down so he was once again hovering above you.
“Weren’t we in this position like five minutes ago?” You asked giggling as he kissed all over your face.
“Yes we were, but this time for a different reason.” Sirius smirked making you squint your eyes at him in confusion. You started laughing as soon as his hands touched your side.
“Stop it! Stop it please.” You begged, stuttering on your words from laughing so hard. Sirius only laughed as well as he continued to attack your sides.
“Are you going to move?” He asked, continuing to tickle you. You tried to say something, but you couldn’t because you were laughing so hard. Sirius stopped tickling you so you could speak.
“If I have to.” You said dramatically, sighing. Sirius chuckled blowing a strand of hair out of his face. He smiled down at you and started attacking your face with kisses again. You giggled as Sirius let go of your arms and laid on top of you.
"Ahhh! I'm dying." You exclaimed moving your arms and legs closer to your body.
“Too bad.” He said rolling over next to you.
“I’m glad you love me enough to stop killing me.” You said sarcastically.
“It was a hard decision baby girl, I’ll tell you that.” He said in a very serious tone, puffing out a big breath. You giggled rolling over on your side. You looked up at Sirius who was laying on his back, he was looking at you as well, smiling.
The only noise you could hear was you both breathing. The only thing you could see was Sirius’ eyes. And the only thing you could think of was the amount of love you had for the boy lying next to you.
“You know I love you, like a lot. I really, really love you a lot. And I don’t know what I would ever do without you.” You whispered to him, not trusting your voice in case it would break and you would cry. Sirius gave you a warm smile and turned on his side so he could pull you closer to him. Your head was buried in his chest and it felt like home. You could smell the cologne he always wore and it smelt like home. He kissed the top of your head and started stroking your hair.
“Oh darling, I know you love me a lot, and I don’t know if you will believe me, but I love you so much more. I love you so, so much more. You are the person in my life that I love the most.” He whispered back and you thought you were going to cry. You somehow managed to squeeze closer to him and you just laid like that for a while. One of his hands in your hair and the other holding yours.
You stayed like that for a while until you got uncomfortable and had to move. You both laid on your back, still holding each other's hand. You both stayed like that for most of the night, just talking about anything that came to your heads. It wasn’t until Sirius asked a question and didn’t get a reply when he realised you were asleep. He chuckled slightly to himself as he turned off the lamp on his bedside table, which was fortunately placed next to him. He kissed the top of your head and whispered, “Goodnight, I love you.”
He laid back down and brought you closer to him. You subconsciously moved to your side and moved closer to Sirius. He wrapped an arm around you and hummed in content.
His arm was wrapped around you and it felt like home. He could smell the perfume you always wore and it smelt like home. Sirius was always happiest when he was with you, and he was ecstatic, holding you in his arms.
