Fly my devil fly, as high and fast as you can,

To reach the light beyond our sight,

With your wings as black as their ruling hand,

Be our guide in this night.

  Run my devil run, as fast and as far as you can,

Find your anger,

And to find your pride,

Feel the power fill your soul and be our light in this night

The Green Book listed businesses and places of interest such as nightclubs, beauty salons, barbershops, gas stations and garages that catered to black road-trippers. For almost three decades, travelers could request (for just 10 cents' postage) and receive a guide from Green.
