The exact circumstances of the eventual showdown with fallen-vergil - how it comes about, and how it plays out. Is it a battle royale of his demonic army vs J and her ragtag bunch of (extremely powerful) misfits? Are there casualties, or does J’s side curbstomp him? So many questions!

Since I am kind of a shitlord, I could expound upon this one ALL DAY - from angsty vampires to gayness as the sole defining character trait to blonde pinup faceclaims for female OCs. But the record-holder is probably ‘the lone wolf who doesn’t want to rely on anyone’. Like any trope, it can be done well, with valid reasons behind it… and it can provide an opportunity for character growth. But I often see it used either as a paper-thin facade that drops at the first opportunity, or extended illogically far, beyond the point where the character ought to have learned and moved on.
