And the new guy was sitting his seat. Nope. He was not going back to the annex. He'd rather spend his moment fighting off Dwight than to hear Kelly talking about the latest gossip in the celebrity world. "New intern, right?"

A little laugh escapes him, his smile only growing. Liam very rarely smiles at anyone, so a smile should be taken and appreciated. He leaned over a little, head tilted as he tried to figure out what the other was looking at. “Not much. Avoiding doing math. How about you?”
"Yeah, math is such a drag. So is this library, actually," he sighed before scooting his book closer to the other boy. "Just looking at some old songs. I thought this book was going to have something good but I realize now that the only reason it's still in this school is because it's old German Propaganda songs. Probably ones Coach Sylvester has memorized," Mason chuckled before sighing. "Do you need help with your math?"
It's bizarre really. Everyone drives him crazy, and by all logic Mason should too. Especially considering Mason is kind of crazy. He has a bit of a soft spot for the kid, so when the other sits near him he gets a rare smile instead of a glare. "What's up Mason?"
It was true, Mason was a weird kid. People thought he was even weirder when he and his twin were glued at the hip. For now, though, he was at a rare time of day when he and his sister didn’t share the same class and he instead had study hall and was trying to pick a song for Glee club. As he flipped slowly through one of the music books he’d pulled from the shelf, surprised it was even there to begin with, Mason jumped when he felt someone sit down next to him and speak.
"Oh, hey Liam. What’s up? I didn’t know you had study hall right now, too."
HI I'M VERY VERY HAPPY YOU EXIST
"You and my mom have something in common then."
