This is just a short Angst drabble…. Only hurt, attempted and failed comfort. its one-sided swapcest, as well as attempted Black x Blue x Slim….. Blue and Stretch have a soul bond that Stretch no longer wants. I might continue this one later, if I feel up to it… It makes me sad.
--
Blue feels the tug on his soul, even from a Universe away. The pain that comes with Stretch staying in Underfell doesn’t subside when he stays with Black and Slim.
He’s in Black’s lap though, and the delicate stroke of his gloves against Blue’s face is enough to soothe his heart anyway. Black isn’t having it. “You love us, don’t you?”
Blue sighs, eye lights gone so he doesn’t have to see, mind blank so he doesn’t have to think. “Mmhm.”
“And you want to stay here, of course. You’ve already said that.”
Slim is in the kitchen, cleaning or cooking or something, enough that when he pauses to listen to the conversation, the lack of commotion is noticeable. The house is silent for a moment. Blue sighs and shifts so his face is pressed against the neck of Black’s spine. “Yeah.”
Black has his arms wrapped comfortingly around Blue’s body and he gives a slight squeeze as he considers his next words carefully. “I know… I..” He takes a moment to rethink and begins again. “You’re going to be hurt either way, but if you would just let go, we could have a bright future Blue. The three of us.”
The tension in Blue’s body seems to let go all at once and he feels that he must be quite heavy in Black’s arms, but he is held tight regardless. “I’m not strong enough.”
“Of course you are!” Black snapped, but was quick to warmth again. “… And even if you aren’t, I… we will be your strength, love. Bonds don’t have to be between just two, it’s about souls absorbing a piece of each other, the three of us, we cou-”
“I KNOW what it’s about!” Blue rubbed at his own eye sockets with the back of his gloved hands and tried not to focus on the emotional pain he was no doubt making his brother aware of. “I hate him and I hate myself for hating him, but letting go and breaking that bond… I’ll lose a piece of my own soul and I… I’m not… strong enough. I love you, but I love him and I want him to love me too, but he’s…. he’s over it. The only time I feel love coming from him is when he’s… When I’m not in the same universe as him. And god it just… hurts so much.”
Black held him tighter and Blue felt Slim walk in, still saying nothing, but kneeling down in front of them. “you need to let go.”

Of all the things described as essential, pants are pretty essential. I bet you’re wearing a pair right now.
At the moment, there are three great sales on pants. The first is at Denim Therapy, which is my go-to shop for denim repair. They can handle anything in a heavier, more rugged material (e.g. cotton canvas chore coats), but their bread-and-butter is in darning old denim jeans. For those unfamiliar, that’s when a seamstress covers up a hole by essentially “reweaving” new material. It’s a much better way to repair crotch blowouts than patching, which otherwise would draw too much attention to the area.
Denim Therapy is offering a 20% discount right now on all reweaving jobs. You just have to drop off or mail them in sometime between August 28th and September 1st. Be kind and wash your jeans before sending them in. Nobody wants to touch stinky pants.
The second sale is at our sponsor Dapper Classics, who’s having a 25% off sale on all of their tailored trousers (use the checkout code FIT17). Dapper Classic’s trousers are made at Hertling, one of the best trouser makers in the country. I find the price-to-quality ratio of Hertling trousers to be a lot better than what you’ll find at most places. And that ratio is made even better with this sale.
Dapper Classics’ models come in great materials, such as the hard-to-find Fresco, softer tropical wools, peached cottons, and cotton-linen blends. They’re offered in two fits, slim and classic, with both featuring a solid medium rise. Tan and mid- to light-grays here will be your most versatile colors. Navy is nice if you have lighter colored jackets and favor a more modern look. The sale ends tomorrow, August 24th, at midnight.
Finally, BlackBlue just put up an online archive sale, where prices on old-season stock are heavily discounted. Tons of stuff in there, not just pants, but you’ll find things such as Engineered Garments fatigues, Norse Projects cords, Our Legacy trousers, and Tender jeans. Both men’s and women’s items are thrown in together on the same page, annoyingly, but the discounts make wading through everything worth it.
