Eden couldn't believe her eyes. One moment her beloved Holden was smiling telling her that he could handle the hunger pains and the next moment he was on the ground.
She tried to beg for his life, hoping that death would give them a few more years, but she was denied. As they finished putting the last of the dirt on his grave under the willow tree, the sky opened up. The large raindrops quickly soaked through the family's clothes as they cried for their lost patriarch.
